There are so many roadblocks to physical fitness but this article will only cover a few in brief, touching the mere surface but allowing you to think about what roadblocks you may be dealing with that are not allowing you to achieve your personal physical fitness goals.
1) TIME – "I don’t have time"
This is a very often used excuse and I am guilty of having used it. If you are using this roadblock, think again as to how you can rephrase this belief to an allowing one. If you have come up with a solution for yourself, write it down. One such positive phrase could be: I intend to make my physical health my priority and use some more of the time I would spend on activities that are counter productive to my physical fitness, such as sitting at the computer a lot, watching TV in the evening, and such … what time management strategies can you come up with to allow more time for your physical fitness? How much time will you commit to on a regular basis – write it down on a physical goal sheet and start planning your days and weeks around that physical activity to get you started and make it your intent to daily affirm to yourself that there is always enough time and NOW is a good moment to get started.
2) "MONEY" I don’t have money"
This is the second roadblock that may be in your way and to rephrase this, it would be a good idea to look at what low cost physical activities there are that you could get started on immediately, such as jogging, or simply taking a brisk walk on a patch of green.
What financial goals can you set to make your personal physical fitness an enjoyable experience in a setting that you prefer? I know a few books you could read on money and reallocating your wealth to increase your health. Just read through the article with an open mind and heart, allowing to let the words I write pass the initial filter of your conscious mind, letting it directly pass "GO" to the next level: your subconscious field of unlimited power and pure potentiality to connect with what you already know, and to permit yourself to use what you know in your own best interest and to the highest good of all. . . including YOU!
3) "DNA" Nobody in my family was very physically fit.
Let’s just say, it’s a good thing that you now have a realistic choice to break that behavior pattern which has handed to you beliefs and habits which were not contributing to your physical fitness. You have a realistic choice to make healthy choices and stick to them. Start with taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or leave the car parked if the distance would take no longer than 10 to 15 min walk – if you go there and back you already have 30 min walk to add to your physical fitness activity log. Oh, btw an activity log is something you could keep to TIME yourself and see how you spend money on other non-physical choices which could be re-allocated if you would become aware and find that the physical fitness is truly worth that time and money because it is about SELF-CARE and SELF-LOVE – Your body is your first living room and fitness gives you a possibility to inhabit it a lot longer in a healthier environment. Watch your DNA unplug connections and reconnect those that code you to "physically fit"
4) "Relationship" I have no fitness partner (my partner doesn’t join me)
If you are the type of person who likes to do things together with your partner or simply wants to have a partner to mutually support each other, what can be frustrating and demotivating is if you look to what you don’t have. If you rephrase this belief to "It’s easy to find a fitness partner" and you actively look for someone in your circle of friends or even at the gym you visit, you will soon see possibilities to even start a group.
5) "Health" I’m sick and tired.
Chances are, if you start a physical fitness program when you’re sick and tired, you’re not going to stick to it. Consult your health specialist and ask whether your present condition allows you some form of light physical activity. Don’t get started on a heavy program of physical fitness if you have not done much in a long time. Train your muscles and heart gradually and build on every training. Keep a score card and monitor your progress - make a weekly plan and jot down all your physical activities, not only those in the gym, note the frequency, and at the gym, note the repetitions and the weights/intensities. As you progress from very light to more intense, chances are that your physical health and overall wellbeing will be improved.

These people have overcome the limiting belief and let love shift them to ever greater results and physical fitness despite the obvious limitations.
6) "Mental" I can’t keep to a fitness routine, I am not determined and plans fizzle.
Your mind works in wondrous ways and your beliefs are what your mind will process as energy, that’s what will influence your physiology and in most cases, it will determine whether you will be moving or not.
If your internal dialogue says "I love my body. I value my physical health and fitness." your body feels different from when you tell yourself "I’m fat, I have no shape." and there are those who will say that round is a shape.
The internal dialogue and the programming you have your mind running on can be reversed. However, it is more difficult if you want to do it simply with will power or when you use your entire brain and your your conscious and subconscious, your left and right brain and the spiritual matrix to which you are plugged in. If you connect to your spirtiual source and ask GOD to guide you to physical fitness, this otherwise purely physical activity becomes a spiritual celebration of the physical temple you have been given to house your mind and spirit – this as such is great value.
Your beliefs are shaped by the thoughts you think over and over. Your habits are the beliefs that you translate into actions. Your continued taking action becomes a habit . So if your habits are currently counter productive, use your internal and external resources to overcome that mental roadblock and shift your perception from it being simply a matter of body experience, to it being a mind-body communion with spirit.
7) "Emotional" – "I know I should do something but right now I’m not feeling up for it."
To be physically fit generates intense emotions of wellbeing. All human beings have emotions and these are very powerful. If they are in alignment with our goals, they take us to the accomplishment in no time. If they are not, the resistance created will not allow us to move on. Tragically, a lot of people are just allowing emotional roadblocks to stop them to reach their goals. If there is a perception of "I’m the victim" that same person can’t see his own victory. However, we all choose our circumstances and we have a choice to choose our emotions. Have you ever thought about what emotions are? I have created a short acronym which I’m going to share with you because it will give you a natural flow experience if you do get started to make physical fitness your priority.
EMOTION
is the ….
E.nergy that
M.otivates, and
O.rganizes
T.ime &
I.nspiration to

"Great, but you have not mentioned in what order to overcome the roadblocks…!"
As always, there is an order to things and I would like to just invite you to explore what works for you. What works because that’s how our human nature is wired, is that you first set yourself SMART goals to physical fitness and create a plan. Then you set the date and time so that you know that this is my starting date and this is the date by which I would like to have goal one accomplished.
Then you move to the next set of start/finish dates, and define the next outcome again, knowing that first you have to accomplish the first goal so be realistic with your time and what you can realistically accomplish.
But WHAT would you want to get started with?
The answer is: if EMOTIONS move to organize time & inspiration to outcomes naturally, then you need to reset your emotional timer to start running when you say "GO!"
1) Start with creating the VISION of what your outcome should look like and feel like when you have accomplished that.
2) Then you blow up that picture to a HUGE mental cinema screen and make it really intense emotionally seeing your victory. Have people shower you with compliments about your body and feel great in your skin – even before you moved a muscle.
3) Next you hold that image and let that feeling penetrate every cell in your body.
4) Move to action by firstly writing that exact vision of your outcome down on a goal card.
5) Carry that goal card with you in your wallet so that you can see it frequently.
6) Affirm a positive affirmation such as: I LOVE myself and the perfectly imperfect body I have. I am healthy. I am fit. I am trim.
7) Schedule the time you make available for your own physical fitness, ask a friend/partner to hold you accountable.
Bring more enthusiasm to the activity each time you raise the bar and set a higher standard until you start breaking all your own records.
9) Gradually progress into a routine and create positive habits that are in alignment with your goals.
10) Keep going and NEVER EVER GIVE UP!
I wish you a sparkling day!

Useful post. Thank you. It is all about taking responsibility and discovering–realizing what it is we want in and for ourselves. When it comes to having the time to take care of oneself, I often suggest, you may be too busy to spend 20 minutes at the gym, but somehow you make the time to see a doctor. How is this?
Thank you, Stefan, I appreciate your comment.
How is it?
They give part of the responsibility to the doctor who should fix that damage they cause by not giving the body what it needs.
Doctors know the business they are in – as long as humans outsource their health, there will not be real healing.
Enjoy a sparkling day!
