An Affirmation of the Soul

What I find so appealing and supportive about this site is that it allows me to sit for a moment and to ask myself, what is truly on my heart? What is it that I am experiencing in this moment? What is underneath all the chaos? What wants to come forth? What intent is the truest for me right now? If I allow myself to take that moment then my intent floats to the surface.

It is authentic.

I experience it like forming/creating the truest statement I can possibly make and then putting it out into a community and asking the community to affirm what is on my heart.  It is also a loving risk—an opening of the heart. I am deeply thankful for such a site—for a community. This site affirms that we can do positive things with our technology—we can come together and support each other.

About YoginiWriter

MFA creative writing. I am drawn to hybridity–cross genre–the fusing together of creative non-fiction with fiction, poetry, art, recipes, diary snippets–whatever demands to show up on the page. My spiritual path is like that too–a collage–an elixir of ideas, practices, and all my studies. The boundaries are smudged and I find myself trespassing into unusual places. I like the UNEXPECTED. I have worked hard at finding a path that fits neatly under one umbrella–contained. I’ve given up. I have roots in many circles. I am fascinated by trees—family trees, world trees, the 8 limbs of Yoga. I am passionate about Yoga, Family Stories, Travel/Wandering, Poetry, Art, Genealogy, Native American Studies, Shamanic Studies, Alternative Healing, Goddess Studies, Mythology, and Folklore.
