As a child advocate she founded Merrie Way Community, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 bringing arts and ethics back into our schools. Filmmakers, Norman Lear, Microsoft, philantropists, and educators joined the effort.

Merrie Lynn coined the term 'morphing' (as a transformational term in 1995) and created 144 pg. curriculums 'Morph America' and 'Peace Smarts' impacting thousands of parents, teacher and kids nationwide.
