I must be dreaming.
Know what I meme?
Yes, here I go again. This time, it is with you and me snuggled, struggled and strapped into the passenger seat like a mistaken, forsaken and humble hostages, not sure of our next move, watching the heavy weight of it all on the pedal of fate. The race has already begun. And you never really do understand, so you can’t help but think, “How did I get here in the first place?”
Well, it is a long story. Continue reading
Don’t fight it.
It won’t make a difference anyway, and the end result, which is really the only result, will always be exactly where it was meant to be, even before you knew it would be there.
And this is not about giving up, conforming, confirming or conning you. But rather, it is about the thing that you know makes you tick, like a clock, and part of the new stopular culture that is the real deal.
I’m not sure who is going to read this, but I do know one thing. It will get to the people who are meant to be called, slightly appalled and never stalled.
That’s you. And you know who you are, so I don’t need to go into great detail to describe you, to yourself, because you already have that description, prescription and inscription infused deeply in your DNA.
You get it, in other words. Continue reading
If I could save time in a bottle, the first thing that Id like to do.” – Jim Croce.
I wonder what it feels like to be Leonard Cohen.
I mean think about it. Here’s this guy, this larger than life, almost MYTHICAL figure, who has entire generations of people hanging on every word, croak and chord, desperate for whatever truth he can wink at you.
He is the icon of an epoch. The tortured soul of a generation.
And what a beautiful era it was, full of sexual intellectualism, sinister wit and dripping with magical prowess that we have never witnessed since maybe Pan or Plato.
And that is a lot of pressure. Even for Leonard Cohen.
I came close to meeting him once.
I remember walking.
To the beat of my inner talking, and soul stalking. Every step is a detailed and ghostly psychic chalking of my past lifelines, present past-times and future fires.
Oh man. It was an intense time. Past tense. Future tense.
With every step, there was a kind of cleansing. Like walking on white hot coals of regrets. Brutal, but kind. The kind of intensity that happens only a few times in your life, like some greater power is trying to sell you on an old idea, that may be new to you. Who knew? Continue reading
Sorry, to interrupt. But. Can you hear it?
Sure you can. Don’t fight it. Don’t deny it. Own it. It’s been poking and stoking you for a little while now. Can you feel the relentless tapping and rapping? The kneeing and the freeing of you?
Teasing and breezing right by you, like a butterfly tornado, faster and faster, trillions of flapping wings, an infinite number of times over, until it finally gets your attention. And it never gives up, because we both know that it already gets you. It knows, that you know, that I know, that you know, the deal.
Yes, now you are letting it, and getting it. Continue reading
“Fire all your guns at once and explode into space.” – Steppenwolf, Born to Be Wild.
Hello. Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Sure you are. You just don’t know it yet. But, you do know what I mean. Are you having the same revolutionary inner thoughts that I do? Are your neural pathways, or whatever, firing, or whatever in the synaptic patters and places creating the faces and spaces that mine do? Is your inner mind your inner mine?
Does the thought of re-invention scare you? Continue reading
I’m in India.
It’s 2005, or something very close to that, I am 35, but my mind is much older.
As per circumstance, happenstance and the unusual, I am here in the dusty, smelly and undeniably magical streets of Delhi through a very strange, unexpected and mostly serendipitous series of events, that even I could not have calculated or created a few weeks ago.
But that is how my life tends to be unfolding. A series of absurd, extreme and mostly exceptional plot twists. You would think I would have figured this out by now. Continue reading
Close your eyes.
Say hello to tomorrow. Go on. Give it a hug.
After all, it is all yours. You own this. It won’t bite, unless you intended it to do that. Everything about it, every nuance, every new ounce, and every vibration are all pieces of you. In fact, you know those motions you are making now? Both the positive and negative thoughts and simple slightest undetectable movements will ripple into eternity and create the waves of tomorrow that will either give you a full-on wicked surf or ruthlessly drown you.
Interesting. I can certainly guarantee it looks absolutely nothing like you thought it would. That’s always the case. Don’t stress. Continue reading

What do you see when you look IN?
It takes some time, I know, but you can do it. You may need to re-adjust your stance, back up, inch forward, bend your antenna, slide the exposure a little, twirl the focus, even change the camera, but you will get there, eventually and at last, and finally see it. Continue reading
