Ayurveda the oldest healing science. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit language word which means "Science of Life." Ayurveda word consists of Ayur’(LIFE)+’veda’(SCIENCE). Ayurvedic knowledge dicovered in India more than 5,000 years ago in vedas. The four Vedas are Rig, Sama, Yajur and Atharva Veda. These four Vedas included topics like health, astrology, spiritual living and behaviour. Ayurveda was attached sub- section of Atharva Veda. This sub section related with the diseases, injuries, fertility, sanity and health by balancing dosha’s (body humurs). All life secrets were explained in the first Veda (Rig Veda). Rig Veda shows the discussions on the three body humurs (vat, pitt and kapha), use of various herbs to cure the disease and wide knowledge of five elements of creation – the earth,water, fire, air, sky (ether) that forms the basis of all forms of life.

Ayurveda originated in India, influenced the ancient Chinese system of medicine and medical system practiced in Greece, Homeopathy and Polarity Therapy, is now famous in west have their roots in Ayurveda. Thus, Ayurveda is also known as the “Mother of all Healing”.

Ayurveda indentified three dosha’s (energy ) present in everybody and are responsible for everything. These are vata, pitta and kapha. Balance in these energy level indicates the good health in all aspects (mentally, physically and spiritually). While imbalanced or disturbed three dosha cause disease. Vata is the energy of movement, pitta the energy of digestion or metabolism and kapha the energy of lubrication and structure. According to Ayurvedic philosophy the entire cosmos is an interplay of the energies of the five great elements – Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Vata, pitta and kapha are combinations and permutations of these five elements that manifest as patterns present in all creation. These three energy level also build the type of body according their level & that is called prakarity (nature). Ayurveda encourages maintaining health by paying close attention to the balance in these level to save the prakarity with the help of right thinking, diet, lifestyle and herbs. Ayurveda knowledge helps to understand how to create balance of body, mind and consciousness according to one’s own individual constitution.
