Be Kind to the Planet and to your Wallet – Eco Fashion Under $100

Why do so many people assume that, by definition, eco friendly fashion is more expensive than traditional fashion brands?  My intent is to show you that it’s not.  Having watched the sustainable fashion industry mature over the past several years, I find that the lines between eco friendly fashion and "mainstream" fashion are starting to blur, in both design and price tags. Traditional designers are begining to incorporate sustainable fabrics into some of their collections and eco designers are creating more reasonably priced, fashion forward clothing and accessories.

No longer only about hemp socks and organic cotton t-shirts, there are now both higher end eco designers and more budget conscious ones.  And, sometimes, the higher end collections go on sale and become affordable to all of us, as well.  Sounds a lot like the fashion industry at large to me. The bottom line is that you don’t necessarily have to spend a lot to start incorporating eco friendly fashion into your wardrobe, nor do you have to sacrifice style. In this uncertain era, when we are all watching our spending, you can find green clothing and accessories at the same (if not lower) prices than the less socially responsible brands. Here are 10 stylish eco friendly summer finds you can snatch up for less than $100.
