Today, I will like to share with you a Shiv Mantra which I think is pure bliss:
Om Namah Shivaya Guruveh
Sat-Chit-Ananda Murtiyeh
Nishprapanchayah; Shantayah; Nirlambayah; Tejasye
This means:
Salutations to Lord Shiva
The embodiment of Truth Knolwedge and Bliss (Sat-Chit-Ananda)
who is
beyond the worlds (Nishprapanchayah),
at peace (Shantayah),
in-dependent (Nirlambayah)
and Radiant ( Tejasye)
I use quite a few mantras for their esoteric value. This is the only mantra I use daily as my personel ’prayer’ .
On the face of it, It is a mantra dedicated to Lord Shiva. The question comes: Is this associated with me being a Hindu?
Most of us on this blog are aware of the ‘spirituality of the self’ wherein the divine manifests itself as you and me. Or conversely, the divine exists in each of us.
In ancient Indian texts, we have a well known term "Soham" which roughly translates as "I am that". "Soham" is identifying oneself with the Cosmic energy or universal consciousness.
A variation of "Soham" is "Shivoham" which says "I am Shiva".
Coming back to the line in the mantra: Salutations to Lord Shiva;
Am I am only referring to my universal self!! ?

Nice mantra that you shared Rajesh.
Soham is also Swa – aham, one of my old friend had named his son with this name.
Mantra are spoken words, fountains of sound energy which may interact with other energies to bring good effects. I think every religions have their own expression of mantras.
Best wishes
