Well, it had to happen eventually: I’ve been blogtagged! Blog tag is a social experiment started by Dave Trager which is rapidly approaching critical mass! Learn more about it in Dave’s blog. Any questions about the game? Ask yours truly or the original perpetrator, SuperDave.
In fact, I have the privilege of having been tagged by two charming ladies in the same day – thanks Rebekah

That George Bernard Shaw quote is one of my favorites. Here is to being unreasonable.
Seems you are in good company on Intent Sebastien- you will likely run into some like minded scientist here.
I love point #5- I think you are right about that. A lot of people are feeling a sense of urging inside to contribute. It will be interesting to see how we all express ourselves in the coming months and years, and to see what we can do as a community to make an impact.
An Intent, in person, meet up is not out of the question. I would encourage any members looking to meet like minded people to start an Intent meet up on meetup.com for now, but I would love to eventually have a large, global event. Well, if we are thinking about it, it must already be taking shape, right?
You know for some reason an Intent meet up went through my mind last night as well…so it must be for sure shaping up or some kind of synchronous thing but…when I thought about it I wondered how it would be logical or practical to come off…then I thought I'd suggest it but not until another year perhaps…I understand Intent itself is just about a year old already so dont know perhaps it is more mature than I since I only joined a few months now…but in my mind I envisioned it from the feel here a year down the road with the people who kept on fairly consistently for the next year…that way you might have a sensible meaningful event…just what rang through my head last night for some reason!
Sebastien – Like Babita, last night I was thinking too of how great it would be to get to meet Intent friends in person at a gathering. I appreciate and respect your authenticity, especially in your ability to leap over dogma and go for experiential contact with the Divine. "The universe is pregnant with mystery," "beckoning us to explore it's dark recesses" – I'm truly awed by your gift of mystical expression, these statements will give me much to reflect on. Love, Greg
I'm going to cut to the chase. I dig the Omniverse site. I can't wait to poke around it and read some more stuff. I saw a blurb about Bucky Fuller and home construction. Didn't have the time to read much but I'm going back… Looks really thoughtful and spot on the things I'm into.
That Shaw quote reminds of one by Ralph Waldo Emerson but I can't remember it, something like…"Great men are misunderstood."
I have a feeling that is not why people misunderstand me…LOL!
Seems like you are contributing in a meaningful way, Mate…for sure!
Ignoring shyness about web log tagging, I am so very happy Ren
Well Dave, I like your positive spirit on the possibility of a global intent meeting… and it seems, judging from the comments, that I am not the only one entertaining this notion!
I would imagine that even within a relatively short time horizon some sort of Intent conference with a reasonable registration fee could be successful and, dare I say it, even financially profitable.
This is just my opinion of course, and I realize that I know little of the other challenges the Intent team has to content with. Nonetheless, it does seem that holding such an event soon, before the Intent membership grows very large, and while it still feels like a "village," would be a tremendous opportunity to strenghten the "coherence" of this initial nucleus, and a catalyst for further growth.
Just my two cents on an interesting possibility…

Many thanks to all for the beautiful and supportive comments… Greg, you always seem to see the positive light in everything, thank you, that is a rare gift in this day and age. Rebekah, you have poetry in your heart, and I sense that we will become fast friends
. And Rod, what can I say, it does seem that we are on the same wavelength; thanks for all your comments, and please keep them coming! Dave, I think is no coincidence that Intent, the Omniverse Project, and so many initiatives in the same spirit are emerging now… We are all on the same mission, whether we realize it or not, and together form a sort of "fellowship of light." Without wanting to sound like a corner street prophet, it does seem like we stand at a pivotal moment in History, with possibly many hardships ahead, but rich in potential as humanity stands on the verge of a massive awakening. Amidst the chaos, a blessed wind blows softly and change is in the air… Can you feel it?
I look forward to more enlightening exchanges with all of you.
Namaste!
hey sebastian- thats fantastic. I wrote mine, attempting to be a celebrity, not talking about what really moves me. Thats a disclosure I hope will come about as I blog on my intent to discloth the mechanisms of poverty, opression, liberation, exploitation, and the unconditioned self.
Sebastien,
Love your long post! When reading the part about an intent "meetup," I thought of the book I just read and am writing a book review on for a Leadership Community that I am a part of. The book is "Tribes" by Seth Godin. The book jacket is soo cool. It shows a person in the middle with all of these people gathering in a circle around him/her. While reading your post, I saw you as that person in the middle for the moment. I got goosebumps!
I am also a sucker for quotes. My fav author of them is Emerson and my fav quote from him:
The Complete Passage from Self-Reliance:
"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said today. – 'Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood."
So, let's not be hobgoblins!!!
I will look forward to reading every long, illuminating post you give us, dear Sebastien!
Namaste,
Sheila
Dear Sheila,
Thank you so much for your elaborate comment… I'll take your reference to 'Tribes' as a compliment of sorts and, given that this is the second time in a week that I hear about this book, a sign that I should go out and buy it…
I've quoted Emerson before, and greatly appreciate his wisdom as well as that of his friend, Henry David Thoreau. However, I had never seen the complete passage which you provided, and it is very appropriate. Thank you for reminding us all that when motivated to do something important, one should not seek approval. At first, one is not likely to get any, and perhaps that is a good sign. Buckminster Fuller would say something along the same lines: (paraphrasing) if there is really nobody you can ask for help, you are probably doing the right thing.
This evokes the "crossing of the desert," the almost inevitable period of loneliness one must get through to reach a higher purpose…
Namaste,
Sebastien
