Is it absolutely necessary that pure consciousness must forget itself upon separation into the many things of form? Or is that just the game we are playing in this cycle?
Or are my questions totally missing the boat?
I can imagine a scenario where pure consciousness chooses to remember itself upon taking the many forms it takes. The experience would be quite different than the one we are experiencing now, but it would be a beautiful experience nonetheless… as I imagine it.
I welcome your thoughts on how all this works, doesn’t work, is, is not, and on and on…
PS thank you Vivian for your inspiration

Hi Sharon,
It is a game; a game of hide-and-seek. What is the fun of playing a game of hide-and-seek if one already knows were everyone else is? Pure consciousness has not forgetten itself, it's just really good at hiding (but is even better at leaving clues!).
Great question!!
Peace and freedom
Phillip
Hi Phillip,
Ha! I like that, really good at hiding, but even better at leaving clues. Thank heavens
It is fun, this game of hide-and-seek. Well, it's everything.
Still, I can imagine pure consciousness wanting to take form to play other games, too. Like, "I'll race you to the finish line… oh yeah, the finish line is the next galaxy… no transporting devices allowed!" or "Let's create anything and everything!"…
or, let's just enjoy being human on this planet of wonders.
I don't know, maybe I'm missing something with this line of thinking. More thoughts welcome…
Peace and Freedom back!
Don't you imagine the possibilities are endless. I think the ultimate fantasy would be to experience as much as possible—like a fantasy Island of one's creation through infinite. But then I wonder if considering WE are ONE, if one is lonely……and the need to splinter is out of loneliness. That thought bothers me…….
Sharon,
For once this Philip (one "l") isn't going to scribe for miles at a time. Just going to say that I've sometimes droven myself nuts with all this paradox and seeming contradictions — to the point of despair.
Lately, something in me is finally accepting the paradoxes. So the answer seems, yes, no, maybe – lol.
Or as you and the other Phillip (two "l") put it so succinctly, it's gotta be a game on some level. Otherwise it really makes no loving sense if one dares to dive into some of the manifestations.
One of my favorite quotations is:
"Moralities, ethics, laws, customs, beliefs, doctrines – these are of trifling import. All that matters is that the miraculous become the norm." ~ Henry Miller
Miller was a bit cynical, but it's the last sentence that ties the ribbon for me. That said, can it become so (i.e. form without illusion)?
Dunno, sister. But then maybe the whole thing with all of its shades of drama is a kind of miracle.
Or at least that in truth, none of the dramatic content of this seeming illusion can or will ever change the Essence of…
Who We All Iz – Really.
But then, whudahell do I really know

HAPPY NEW YEAR Sharon!!!
I like the hide and seek anology, but more think about it as a delicious, self renewing and perpetual game of "Where's Waldo". Except, just when you think you've found it, pure consciousness disapears again only to re-appear for a fleeting moment, often in places and moments where and when we least expect to find it. In praise of slow and silence, the good news is that by simply and consistently seeking pure conciousness and being fully present in as many moments as possible, we walk by fewer opportunities to light up and lift the whole world to a bettter place.
ENJOY THE DISCOVERY and THE JOURNEY, WHEREVER and WHEREVER IT TAKES YOU!!!
BLESSINGS, LOVE and PEACE!!!
sharon, " where pure consciousness chooses to remember itself upon taking the many forms it takes " is known as enlightened embodiment . .
we can either cultivate it in this lifetime & allow delusion to dissolve into Knowledge & return no more – or once Remembrance is permanently established, choose to re-embody & return once more to participate in the Grand Delusion of forms, but this time with Full Awareness ( somewhat analagous to an actor.choosing a part in The Play but with Infinite Fulfillment & Harmony Ever Present . .
I had a wonderful Great Aunt who was in her 90's when she declared: "I've finally come back to the memory of myself!" That memory is what your discussion about illusion triggered in my experience. Thank you for helping me re-discover a fond memory & start thinking about this world of 'illusion'. Joy is a Choice! Choose Joy Moment by Moment! Injoy:) Carolyn
Hi Sherri,
Yes, this idea that pure consciousness/god is in bliss before form, but then also at some point in some sense that I am unable to explain is aware of the concept of 'alone'. Maybe pure consciousness isn't bothered by that awareness so much, it just begins doing something about it.
And maybe the game of hide-and-seek is the best way to feel a real union with itself…
Dunno, but I do know, or at least feel deeply, that you and I are not alone. We have each other. We can experience union, physically, emotionally, intellectually, or spiritually. It may be fleeting, we may not feel that union every second, but it is always there, and we always come back to it, you and I.
Love,
Sharon
Hi Philip (one'l'),
I'm giggling at the paradoxes that run throughout your comment, which is the idea you started with in the first place.
"the miraculous becoming the norm
=
form without illusion
=
the whole thing with all of its shades of drama is a kind of miracle =
none of the dramatic content of this seeming illusion can or will ever change the Essence of…
Who We All Iz – Really
=
whudahell do I really know
)"
gotta love that, Philip
Sharon
Happy New Year, Tim!
"by simply and consistently seeking pure conciousness and being fully present in as many moments as possible, we walk by fewer opportunities to light up and lift the whole world to a bettter place."
…and…spend more time just enjoying the ride, expressing ourselves, loving, creating…
being here now
embracing the simplicity of it
IT IS SO SIMPLE!
Love,
Sharon
Dearest Clear Light,
This is exactly what I was getting at.
"choosing to re-embody & return once more to participate in the Grand Delusion of forms, but this time with Full Awareness"
and if everyone and everything made that choice… what would this place look like ?!
Love,
Sharon
Hi Carolyn!
And your comment conjures in me feelings of immense gratitude that I am coming back to the memory of myself at somewhere around half your Great Aunt's age
Thank you.
Love,
Sharon
Indeed!!!
sharon, it would look like Sat Yuga : ) : ) : ) . .
Heaven on earth . .
( let's intend it ! )
Hey Share
I don't think that pure consciousness forgets, I think the forms forget.
peace
derek
Hi derek,
so at one point, form knew itself or remembered. then at some other point form forgets. then at some other point form remembers again, and so on, and so on… ?
but form is pure consciousness manifest.
so, maybe what I mean to ask is…
couldn't pure consciousness choose to become forms that always remember who/what he/she/it is?
it would just be a game with a totally different experience than the one we are having. it wouldn't be hide and seek. we wouldn't always be trying to remember who we are. we could spend our time as form doing countless other things.
whadya think?
Shar
so cool to hear from you!
Hey Share
Questions often blur the lines of understanding and experience.
You and I and everyone else are pure forms created
from pure consciousness. Questions create the game of hide and seek. In order to forget what pure consciousness is we must first begin to question it. To know pure consciousness is to experience the beauty of the green leaves against the blue sky the sparkle of snow or the light that dances across the waves or the compassion felt between two people without words or questions.
But then what would we talk about?
peace and much love to you Sharon
