“Final Inch,” a documentary about the attempt to eradicate polio in countries where the disease is still killing and crippling people, will be shown Sept. 10 in Thousand Oaks.

The Oscar-nominated film will be shown at the Muvico Theatres at The Oaks shopping center at 7 p.m. The free screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session. No tickets are required.

The United Nations Children’s Fund, Rotary International, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Gates Foundation are collaborating to stop polio, concentrating on four countries — Nigeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and India — that still have growing numbers of cases.

The screening is sponsored by the Rotary clubs of Thousand Oaks and Moorpark.
