Communicating With Nature

A little tid bit of information I read on Facebook today sparked this blog.  A friend reported he had seen his first Colorado Rattlesnake on a popular trail out here.  I commented, congratulating him, offering to show him more.  He replied that the snake was very unhappy because people were throwing rocks at him, trying to get him out of the way.

Seems logical to some, I suppose, but this demonstrates the epitime of the unconscious human being.  Two easy ways to spot people who have forgotten who they are:  by the way they treat nature and animals and children.

We are not just flesh, blood, and bone.  There is more to us, and we share this common thread with all of life, and all of existance.  We are vibrational beings first, and physical beings second.  The confused, or unconscious human is the one who thinks they are flesh, blood, and bone first…and might be something more… maybe after they die.

I’m not here to make fun, or to call others a lower species of human (although that is a funny though), but it is kind of like that.  However, it is also the nature of the times we are living- as many people are ‘waking up’ so to speak to their true, wise, loving, eternal, non-physical nature.

Enough of that….  let’s talk about the snake.

See, the snake never forgot who he or she really was.  The snake, and every beast, fish, plant, etc on this planet holds their perspective steady, so they are always in that knowing that they are not flesh blood and bone first, that they are vibration first.  This is why they do not fear death, and don’t mind being eaten.

Sure, they can break away for very brief periods of time (seconds usually), but otherwise, they are tapped in, tuned in, turned on, and react the way God in a physical body would be.  If the snake feels powerless because it has 5 giants around him throwing rocks, anger is the natural response.  We can all agree anger is an improved vibration over powerlessness?  In case you haven’t been reading Abraham (or someone regurgating Abraham’s material ala most self help teachers), check this out.  This is called the ‘emotional scale’.

  1. Joy / Knowledge / Empowerment / Freedom/ Love / Appreciation/ Bliss  <—(who you really are is ALWAYS and unconditionally, here)
  2. Passion
  3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness  <— This is where I am as I write this
  4. Positive Expectation/Belief
  5. Optimism
  6. Hopefulness
  7. Contentment
  8. Boredom
  9. Pessimism
  10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience
  11. Overwhelmment
  12. Disappointment
  13. Doubt
  14. Worry
  15. Blame
  16. Discouragement
  17. Anger  <— The snake in the moment he was being attacked.  (Not even the snake went as low as the human beings.)
  18. Revenge
  19. Hatred/Rage
  20. Jealousy
  21. Insecurity/Guild/Unworthiness
  22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness <– the people throwing rocks at the snake

Since all animals (all life other than humans really) live in the moment, all of the time- the moment whatever is bothering them is gone, they shoot right back up to Love and Bliss.

Now, once you understand this.  And once you understand that the way you feel dictates how your life plays out, there are no more secrets, and everything in the world begins to make sense.  Law of Attraction brings you the things, people, and experiences that match the vibration (or emotion) that you are putting out.  Always, always, always.  It is important that we know what this emotional feedback is telling us, and it is important that we know how to empower ourselves by practicing moving up the scale when we are down.  It is the only thing in life worth of discipline, according to Abraham.  (For more info on their teachings, cick the link)

So now here is what drives me a little nutty.  The snake, and all animals, are almost always at the #1 spot.  Yet people fear them, when most people usually linger around overwhelmment.  While we are anywhere between 1-7 (Between Love/Bliss and Contentment)- no problems with anything in nature, including bugs.  Nature, and all of it’s inhabitants will recongize you are a like vibration to them, and leave you alone.

The same thing goes with humans.  If you pass someone on the street- if you are vibrating at 1-7- no problems.  The minute you start to feel less than contentment, it will be interpretted as aggression.  In the animal world, and in the human world.  Without ANY words spoken.  And for the record, how do you think the animals decide who to eat?  It is those who have forgotten who they really are- and they get a first class ticket back to remembering!

So it is no wonder that people are going into the woods and throwing rocks and snakes.  They rely so much on their language and action that they have forgotten COMPLETELY about their own vibrational nature.  So you ask how would I have handled the situation?

I would have seen the snake.  Kept my distance, until I could bring myself into at least a Hopeful state (if I wasn’t there already).  Then, while I put my attention on the snake I would project that energy to him.  This tells him I am a person of integrity, and it gains their respect and trust.   Now, the little snake is just basking in the sun.  That is how they warm up their blood, and it feels good to them.  I think most beach goers would understand, even though we are warm blooded.  Then, with the power of my mind, and my intention, I would tell the snake I am passing through, and the snake would move to the side.  Everytime.  We are indeed the rules of this earth when we are being who we really are.

Nature responds wonderfully to human beings when they know you aren’t a loose cannon.

To those who have been practicing- this all seems normal.  And to those who have never tried, it will seem like magic.

Go for a walk, and give it a try.

About Dave

Welcome to my Intent profile! I am very excited about this website as it helps to make us all more aware of our personal, social, and global intentions- while also providing a plethora of mind expanding content. Feels more like hanging out at a yoga studio than a large auditorium. A lot of social networks allow you to meet people via your favorite things- but what about our intentions and who we are in the process of becoming? Isn't that worth focusing on?? I think so. That said, I am a very laid back person who strives to appreciate all the goodness that is around. When I get a wiff of something not so good, I try to focus on the opposite, and immediately move in that direction. Sometimes that is easier said than done, but it is what I strive for. I love the fresh air and sun. A big nature fan. I get it, and it gets me. Also a big fan of the internet and all of these new ways that we are able to communicate at lightning speeds. Always been a fan of building community and bringing the global community together in venues like this that transcend cultural barriers. You might see me around these parts pretty often as I help out with community building efforts. Please say hi, and always feel welcome to offer any feedback. I will always make sure it gets to the right people. Speaking of which, be sure to check out Mallika's awesome idea to really give this site a whirl and set an intention every day for 30 days! http://www.intent.com/mallikachopra/blog/dear-intent-community-join-me-my-30-days-intentions

Great post, Dave. You are so right about learning about people by how they treat children and animals. Children and animals do not forget who they are!

Thank you for this wonderful and enjoyable post! Yes…nature responds to us, and all creatures… When the energy is centered in light, the animals are also drawn to humans; just as children know and see the light in an adult- who inspires their joy. Bright blessings! love, Rebekah
