Dear Intent Community: Join Me In My 30 Days of Intentions

Dear Intent Friends,

Hope everyone is well and settled into 2010.  It has taken me a few days to get back into a rhythm, and I am very excited about the New Year – both personally and for Intent!

This year, my intent is to live with purpose, mindfulness and passion.  So to get things started, I am making a commitment today to make an intent each day for the next 30 days.  (Today is my daughter, Tara’s 8th birthday, so it’s a perfect day to begin!)  My father, Deepak Chopra, has already been leading the way, and you can see all his tweets here.

I’d like to invite all of you to join us.  How awesome would it be if we could begin a movement based on positive intentions for ourselves, our communities and our planet!  You can now integrate your intent account with Twitter and Facebook, and you can also support others and Re-Intent their intents to help spread the good karma.

Each week, I will also check in with a blog to share my experiences and bring the group together.  So if you want to join us, please state your intent to do so in the comments of this blog!

And one more exciting announcement!  Check out the newly designed profile page.  We have finally added followers and direct messages back – so you can now choose to follow friends, and you will see a roll of their intents and blogs in your profile.  To follow someone, go to their profile, and at the bottom click the Follow button.  If you join the 30 Days of Intent by commenting on this blog, I will make sure to follow you so I can keep track of all the incredible intents.

Happy New Year once again everyone!

Namaste,

Mallika

    Blessings to your daughter!

I'm in, 30 days of intents.

My first intent- to find a way to post intents. Right now there's an add over the "post my intent" button on my page.

This is very inspiring, count me in. :)

Thirty days of intents? I guess I'm old school; have one intent, back it up with positive action, discipline and hard work. Then perhaps it will "manifest." I believe that is "the secret."

  5. danashields January 12, 2010 at 6:11 am #

I have the same problem on my browser, where there's screen rendering over the button. To solve this, after I type my intent, I have to hit my Tab key twice and then hit enter.

For some unknown reason, I have had difficulty diving into 2010. What a grand idea you have and it may be just what I needed. I will happily commit to 30 days of intents and look forward to seeing what everyone intends to do this year.

Great concept, and great idea to start the year. The world, in every one of our little corners of it, could use a little positivity!

To get started, I'll focus on something I've been delaying. My intent is to use today to organize and de-clutter my work and personal life!

  16. justinmendoza January 12, 2010 at 10:48 am #

I just made a note to myself to list my intents for the new year so this will be a great place to do so!

  17. aurora January 12, 2010 at 12:59 pm #

Dana, thank you so much for the tip, I'll try that tomorrow. I switched to Firefox and it works well, but I prefer my other browser and so if your technique works, it will make it easier for me.

It has been a joy filled with much laughter and healthy food choices. So my intents are being realized and my goals are being achieved. One by one I'll keep on knocking them outta the park. And I must says it feels great! Thx for starting this positive movement, enriching our lives and to make the world a better place for all.

Mallika, I am in. My intents have been posted every day for the last thirty days and will continue for the next. I don't think there is a limit to the variety of ways in which one can see things–the same goes for intent and resultant action. Thank you for the avenue to share this. May this year bring love and happiness to all who take part.

    Warm regards.

  32. danashields January 12, 2010 at 6:53 pm #

Okay. This I think I can do. We'll give it a shot.

So for today, my intent is to take it easy and finesse the "incongruities" that normally make me tense.

I intend to fully support this effort, but I also intend to take a much-needed vacation next week, during which I intend to disconnect from computerized devices much of the time, so I won't be able to post regularly.

Today, I intend to use my time efficiently so I can go see "Avatar" tonight with a clean slate.

  42. ardverk January 13, 2010 at 12:19 pm #

I often read things (great things) and don't reply. I don't think replies is the best way to judge if writing is interesting, etc.
