The ultimate goal of the transcendental meditation is to achieve the state of Maha-Samadhi, which is nothing but transcendence beyond time (and space) via merging into the universal consciousness. Since matter and body cannot transcend time and space, Maha-Samadhi can only be achieved via realizing the total choice-less awareness or consciousness thru dissolution of the mind or ego.
Transcending time is transcending the relative realities (or illusions) and directly witness the existence as is. The physical state of transcendence beyond time cannot be directly measured with any instruments that operate in the Newtonian fixed time and space. However, such a physical state is subjectively experience-able (via meditation) as well as scientifically and mathematically predictable as the fully dilated time/space of Einstein’s theory of relativity and HR. The subjective state of egoless consciousness/awareness is synonymous with the physical state of the mass-less zero-point energy residing in a fully dilated time/space.
For those skeptics who do not believe in Einstein’s assertion that “Time is an illusion”, Holistic Relativity successfully predicts the observed accelerated expansion of the universe depicted by scientific observations without even using time as an explicit parameter (see attached figure below from one of my peer-reviewed published papers). The beauty and wonder of these predictions are that the observed universe behavior thru advanced astronomical telescopes can be predicted without a consideration of time as a physical entity. While our everyday classical world evolves, changes, and runs with a clockwork precision, the universe as a whole exists simply, beautifully, eternally, and free from the clutches of the worldly space and time. Please note that the main-stream Big Bang theory that is founded on the presumed absoluteness of time (beginning and evolution) fails to predict the observed accelerated expansion of the universe.
The above facts demonstrate that while a worldly reality (evolving in time and space) seems to appear a stubborn reality, it is only an illusion (now you see it, now you don’t) from a universal point of view. Any reality bounded in time and space is only local and relative (not absolute or universal), and hence, often termed as an illusion. A universal truth or reality is eternal, above and beyond time.
Our liking or disliking of time and evolution as realities, does not impact the fundamental eternity of the ultimate universal truth or reality as depicted by the prevailing eternal universal laws and order. The universal reality exists at its own and is not at all governed or influenced by an individual or mass appeal, or the mainstream consensus.
Further, dilation of time (stopping of the clock) as depicted by Einstein’s relativity theory and HR, is not symbolic of death but eternal living or universal consciousness that was never born and would never die. It is symbolic of – “Maha-Samadhi” – the ultimate state of universal consciousness.
