Eating Your Way to Sexual Health

Want to eat your way to sexual health? Traditional Oriental medicine has some general suggestions. Eat the foods below regularly, though not necessarily every day. Gradually, they will strengthen your sexual vitality and help maintain it for years to come.

• Foods with a salty flavor (such as celery, seaweed, and fish)

• Black, gray, and dark blue foods (e.g., black beans, blue corn, blueberries, miso, olives, dark mushrooms)

• Fish (freshwater is helpful, but ocean fish is better)

• Lamb, beef, or deer meat

• Seafood (shrimp, crayfish, lobster, oysters, mussels)

• Eggs

• Tofu (well cooked)

• Bone marrow (use this to make soups)

• Organ meats (especially kidneys)

• Quail and quail eggs

• Walnuts

• Molasses (a teaspoon in a cup of hot water)

About felice.dunas

An internationally acclaimed lecturer, author, coach and acupuncturist, Felice Dunas Ph.D. is in demand worldwide for her unique approach to health, leadership, relationship, love and sexuality. A forty year veteran of ancient Chinese principles, Dr Dunas has used her understanding of human behavior and the human body to enhance the lives of individuals, couples and corporate executives.   Her work supports health, vitality, interpersonal intimacy and leadership development.

Felice’s passion for healing developed as a child watching the medical struggles of her two father figures.  At 10 years old she lost her biological father to cancer. Her step-father, an internist and one of the founders of Kaiser Permanente Hospitals, was unable to heal all of his patients and lamented the limitations of his field.  “I was inspired to find a medical system that would explain how my father could be at peak health at forty one and dead of a terminal illness one year later.  I also wanted to augment what my step-father was able to provide so that together, we could heal everyone.”

Dr Dunas was awarded the ‘Acupuncturist of the Year” award, the highest honor bestowed by her profession, in 2002 for her leadership, teaching and clinical skills.  Today, she utilizes Western and Integrative medical techniques to address a myriad of client and patients’ needs that pertain to physical, emotional and leadership challenges.

Before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Sociology/International Health Care from UCLA, she served a three year apprenticeship with noted Japanese and Korean acupuncturists.  In 1988 she completed her Doctorate in Clinical Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology at Samra University, the U.S. based sister school to the Medical College of Shanghai.

Dr. Dunas is the author of the best-selling book from Penguin-Putnam, "PASSION PLAY: Ancient Secrets for a Lifetime of Health and Happiness Through Sensational Sex”. A veteran media guest, she has been on numerous national and regional television and radio shows.  Her writings have appeared in many publications including: Ladies Home Journal, Prevention, Glamour, Marie Claire, Los Angeles Magazine, Women’s World, Cosmopolitan, American Woman, Success, New Age Journal, Ms. Fitness, Men’s Health, Healing Retreats & Spas in the US as well as many publications abroad.

Hello Felice, Interesting concept that certain foods will make you sexier. In my mind what works to make you sexier is to first have the desire to be sexy, then to learn all you can about sexuality and then to be sexual in a loving manner with like minded souls.

That actually works. The way to be sexy is to actually have sex with someone you love.

    love and light,

    Stuart

    Dear Felice,

As far as I can remember KamaSutra, there is no advocacy of consuming meat, organs, fish & eggs to achieve the ultimate sexy pleasures. Us veggies are, I mean were, in my case, no less replete with heavenly pleasure. Yours, Jiten

so well said, too many people go on an eat themselves to get sexy. but when it comes to getting to the point of been sexy they have no idea what to do or how to do it. or their minds are so block with stupidity that they forget thenselves and what they were eating sexy food in the first place. so to be sexy as you said you have to have a sexy mind and the right partner to love and set your soul and mind free.
