Echo in the Wind

Echo in the Wind

Who we are in depth

Eternal part of the other,

In hungry moments, loss and separation’s grave,

The starving nature urging us on,

Even divided by continents, or galaxies,

Love is uniting soul,

In many hearts-

Who we were,

The path of the giver never lost,

How we hold

The rhythm walking on-

The secret seed after the bloom-

To rain and winter gift-

Given free,

Who we love, the water, we thirst-

Communion of memory grows,

And yet,

Who we love,

We, who love,

This spirit keeps our heart anew,

The seed to life again-

In fertile soul

Will grow renewed.

Rebekah, that is beautiful. I find myself looking down the corridors of Time, thirsting for all that is beautiful and sacred to my soul. Thank you. Love and laughter to you, my friend.

Dear Rebekah ~ I've read these lines several times over and gotten something more and different each time. I know you are aware of how much it means to me. Thank you. Bless you.

Sometime long ago … I forget quite when, and quite where, so can't recall it clearly … someone … I forget who, so can't remember well … told me that every good deed, good act, good intention … each was like a drop of pure rain falling into a lake. And that the lake was there for all time and for all sentient beings to draw from, for strength and comfort … compassion and loving kindness.

I wondered then and wonder now if selfless tears also add to that lake.

"When I see the holiness in that special place in you, and you see the holiness in that special place in me, we are both of us in the same place" … my reformulation of Ram Dass' explanation of "namaste".
