Feel Your Emotions!

A common mistake of students in the self-help field is to ignore and supress emotional pain when it occurs, in order to not "attract more of it." It is actually the neglection of emotional pain that causes it to live on in you and to reccur in your life. Know that there is nothing wrong with feeling sad! It’s just part of the colorful array of emotions allowed to us. When you experience heavy emotion, the best thing to do is embrace it and become present with it. Maybe find a healthy outlet for that energy. I find exercise and EFT especially useful in this. Recognize the part of your ego that caused the pain and see it for what it really is. It is the light of your present awareness that will disolve all of your past pain as it arises.
