It has been a long time since I have written a blog and to be quite honest I am not sure if they get read by anyone, anyhow. I am not an author or famous… I am most known for my anonymity …lol Without making a long winded blog that takes an hour to read and another month to digest I would just like to share a quote, if I may…
"The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid ‘dogma’ and theology. Covering both the natural and spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific need it would be Buddhism.
I am in agreement with this statement and I also realize it has the potential of offending some views of others. My response to those is this….Some religions have been offending humanity for 2000 years ! So much grief and torment…"in the name of" … I say ENOUGH ALREADY! I do not fear I will be struck down by lightning if I am wrong either! Do these people possess some supernatural powers that I dont ? I have not met God and I have not spoken with God…..ever! If you have then I say to you…congratulations for meeting YOU and knowing YOU as you truly are…..we are all THAT which has come to be known as God.
Why must religion ‘separate ‘ us from God? It has been my experience that this will provide the fear they need to control others for their own need. I dont understand why I need to go to a church to proove my faith. God is omnipotent and all knowing…He surely knows how I feel WHEREVER I am …lol
So to end with a bang and another blasphemy , I would like to say that …I aspire to be as God is !! It is my goal to emulate God !! One day I would like to experience us all as GOD !!
With humility

Albert Einstein is the author of the quote….. I assumed most of you knew already and forgot to post that. Oops lol
I agree Stuart. I think the purpose of religion is to direct us towards god. Once we find the path religion does not serve any purpose, but we endlessly stick to the dogmas. I see good people focussing more on the differences between the religions than the essence which is the same!
Good luck to you.
Yes , so true . We must focus on the commonality and not the differences. In my seeking, reading and experience I have found that we all want the same thing. It is difficult to put this into one word though. Love, peace of mind, comfort, joy, happiness, there are many words to describe this. But I feel that Eastern philosophies say it best in fewer words. Nirvana, enlightenment. I seem to always turn back to Buddha in my seeking. I am open minded and have read the Baghavad Gita, the Koran, the Bible and many other spiritual beliefs but I do find the most comfort in the teachings of Buddha. What I like most about the teachings is it directs us to look at ourselves, always. We are who we think we are! We have the power of creating ourselves every moment, needing only to believe in ourselves. Very empowering and holds us accountable in every aspect of our lives. Clearly Buddha laid the path for us to find in our own unique way.
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. Good luck to you as well !
