Find Your Personal Year Number for 2009 Using Numerology

The beginning of the year finds many of us looking at the changing numbers that denote the passing of calendar and clock time in our lives. We count down the days until the holiday season. We watch one calendar close and a new one open on the tick of midnight on the last day of the year. As these numbers progress to the end of the calendar, we often ask, “How will this new year turn out?”

Numerology, the study of how number patterns influence our personality and life path, can to help answer the question about what lies ahead. Perhaps this sounds a bit odd to our modern ears, but remember the original sources of the numbers and letters. Originally, numeric and alphanumeric symbols were potent communications wherein each letter and number each had an individual magical meaning. Anyone who has studied the Hebrew alphabet or Nordic runes is conversant with the potency of these symbols as oracles.

In numerology, each number has an individual meaning, or vibration, that influences the person or person’s path. For instance, the number 1 denotes the individual, the unique, and new beginnings. The number 2 expresses balance, duality, harmony and also polarity. An excellent web source for information about Numerology is www.astrology-numerology.com.

You can use numerology to get personal insights for 2009. Numerologists say that each individual’s life is reflected in nine year cycles. Each one of these cycles has a different type of experience and pattern. Using your birthday, you can calculate your Personal Year number to identify where you are in your personal cycle and see what numerology predicts for you for the coming year.

How to calculate your Personal Year number

Add the digits of the month and day of your birthday those of the year 2009, then reduce this sum to a single digit.

If your birthday, for example, is September 9, or 9/9, then you add: (9+9) + (2+0+0+9) = 29. If this first calculation result is not a single digit, reduce it again this way: 2+9 = 11. In this case, another reduction is necessary to get to a single digit: 1+1 = 2. The Personal Year number for this person is then 2. Once you calculate your Personal Year number, you can interpret what that might mean for you.

Numerology has been very important in my spiritual development. First there is gematria which is traditional kabbalistic numerology which shows a connection between words with the same numerical value. Learning that the snake in the garden of eden (nahash) has the same gematria as messiah (maschiach) was very enlightening. So was learning that the Hebrew word for nature shares the same gematria for the tetragrammaton. The tetragrammaton is the four letter symbol for the Divine. It is unpronouncable and mispronounced by the misinformed as Jehovah or Yahweh. Personally learning that my birth numerology was 11, and that my name numerology in English and transliterated from Hebrew into English were both 22, was a very important sign along my spiritual path. I encourage all to explore numerology as an intriquing spiritual path.

    love and light,

Very interesting, and new information for me. I resonated with the idea of nine year life cycles and feel strongly that I am ending one cycle and beginning another. My number came out as a 7, and it makes sense that this is an introspective year, although last year was definitely not nourishing!

    thank you and best wishes,

Yep mine came as 9 – and it does make sense as lot of new initiatives has been taking place along with weaning off of some past ideas….

Amused by what the basis of Numerology though…….

Perhaps we could have a whole thread and detailed discussion on the topic … ???

I have to admit that the prediction for 2009 is almost correct to me…I am wondering is it also true of 2010?
