Freezing Negativity

After attending the Omega NYC conference in April, and sitting in on Sonia Choquette’s workshop, I purchased one of her books – “Trust Your Vibes: Secret Tools for Six-Sensory Living,” which explains how to live as what she calls a “six-sensory being” rather than living only with the five senses. Since then, I’ve been reading a chapter at a time, trying to absorb all of the “secrets” she offers.

A few weeks ago, I read a chapter on “Psychic Protection” where Choquette described a process for blocking negativity, and while I was intrigued by it, I didn’t think about trying it until I found myself extremely stressed about a few people in my life who seemed to be draining my energy and surrounding me with negativity.

While complaining to a friend – yes, I know with the law of attraction I should have kept my mouth shut, but I needed to vent – the exercise Choquette explained in the book popped into my head (thank you intuition) and right then and there I decided to get up and do it. I mean, why not? It couldn’t hurt, right?

The goal of the exercise, or ritual, is to block any negativity from coming toward you and actually “freeze” it. In the book, Choquette shares how she used this exercise years ago when she had someone working for her that brought a lot of negativity around her. A day after doing the exercise, the person quit. So I figured if it worked for her, it could work for me.

Choquette learned it from a friend, and I have since shared it with many friends and family members, who have seen amazing results.

Here it goes: Choquette explains to take a glass jar with a lid, fill it with water and add blue food coloring for “added protection.” Then write on a piece of paper the following:

“I freeze all negativity known or unknown moving toward me as of now.”

Add the paper to the water, close the jar lid and pop it in the freezer. That’s it. Leave the rest to the Universe to take care of, and go on with your life.

I did this on a Sunday evening, and immediately afterward felt a little lighter – like all my worries and stress were sealed in that jar, and I didn’t have to carry them around with me anymore. By the next morning I received a phone call I had been waiting on for weeks, and as the days continued, the people who were draining me suddenly had a change of personality.

Maybe it was the physical act of setting the intention and then letting go – Choquette explains in the book that the ritual “amplifies intention.” Maybe it was just coincidence. I don’t know, but aren’t you curious enough to find out for yourself?

Oh, and a word of caution – don’t fill the jar all the way … mine cracked in my freezer and I had a bunch of glass to clean up! Oops!!

Try it and then leave me a comment and let me know how it worked.

Yes I've heard of this one. I really like this one. I think the goal really is the intention behind it. Gives a nice metaphorical or symbolic experience to the unconscious mind. And it helps to free up the energies needed to manifest what is desired. Thanks for this!
