Just the other day I was texting, emailing and listening to a conference call, water was boiling and my dog was crying for some almond butter in her kong (a brilliant dog toy). Can we just say – Stress!!! I laughed and then took a deep breath and thought, wow, my life is getting busier and then I am going to add children??? Just add a huge heep on the pile and then what am I going to do???
Another stressor for many of us is driving. When I get lost while driving it’s as if the world is coming to an end and I begin to panic! (I am on it getting a GPS to get this off the list). Yes I do yoga, meditate, hike, and eat well and the list goes on… The good thing is, its ok and I remind myself of this, as do the loving people around me who support me. At this point you might be stressed reading this – breathe ! I want to help you release the stress and also understand there is good and bad stress – just like there is good cholesterol and bad cholesterol.
Below I have defined it as it relates to me and you may find it helpful to do the same see where your stressing out and find where you can make changes to alleviate stress.
Good Stress = Growth, being a bit uncomfortable and making certain muscles get stronger like patience, understanding, and acceptance as well as building certain qualities that make you a better person.
Bad Stress = Panic, doing too much, being overwhelmed, saying yes too much, having a too do list that is 5 pages and trying to make everything just right, and then there is social, environmental and never turning off.

Friendly note: With autoimmune disorders stress can bring about symptoms and this can be managed when you are paying attention to your lifestyle habits. Stress is also a toxin and affects the body in negative ways and yoga is one way you can release it.
