Why did Einstein say that imagination is more important than knowledge? Why did Walt Disney choose “Imagineers” to design Disney World? Why is one of the most popular songs of all time simply called “Imagine?”
I think the answers lie in the electrifying power of our imagination.
Research has shown the power of imagination or visualization in helping athletes achieve their goals and helping people achieve a deep sense of relaxation. In business, a leader is challenged to clearly imagine where the team will be in the future, and then communicate that vision so that the entire team has it etched in their minds.
Unless we harness the power of our imagination, we are at risk of turning that power against ourselves. We are more likely to visualize frightening “what if” scenarios or depressing “it’ll never work” predictions. Choosing how to wield the power of our imagination is up to us, but its influence will keep right on going, with or without our active participation:
- "Imagination and fiction make up more than three quarters of our real life." - Simone Weil
- "Imagination rules the world." – Napoleon Bonaparte
- “Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” - Einstein
- “Everything you can imagine is real.” - Picasso
May you harness the power of your imagination today, holding in your mind only positive images of your own future!

I agree! Nice post to start off the week.
dearest deb,
thanks for again speaking out my heart, without imagination creation is impossible, but imagination should never go to the extent of impossible. just like they say blessed is the dreamer who keeps his feet firmly on the ground.
Wish you love, peace and happiness.
Trisha
I love it!
Imagination truly is an amazing beautiful thing
Thank you. That was wonderful and inspiring. I am often told to get my head out the clouds, but your words encourage me to keep looking at life through my rose colored glasses.
Thanks for your comments! Hope you imagined wonderful possibilities throughout your day today.
