Have you died today?

Most people tend to live as if there was some sort of continuity to life.  I know I used to conceptualize my past as a sequential series of events, with the future unfolding in much the same way.  This conceptualization of continuation seems very real and convincing.

Then I began to experiment with the idea of letting go.  Letting go of beliefs, letting go of ideas, letting go of desires.  I began to realize that in every moment there was birth and death, birth and death, birth and death.

In every moment we are dying, and in every moment we are being born.

There is a freedom that comes from this.  When we are struggling, clinging, grasping, we can ask ourselves: what do we need to let die?  Something always has to die in order for us to be reborn.

On the other hand, there can also be a fear that accompanies this process.  Who am I if I keep letting go?  Who will I be?  How will anything get done?  Who am I without my preferences?  Who am I without my story?

Try experimenting with this gently.  In any moment, watch how something is dying.  Then watch how something else is born.  See if you can let go of what is dying, and let go of what is being born.

As I began observing this death and rebirth cycle, as I began to conceptualize my life on these terms, it became much easier to let go of everything in my life.

In each moment, we can be re-born.

What are you doing because it is a habit?  What if you could just let it go?  In each moment, we have this choice.  The more we can let go of who we were, even just one second ago, we open up to the possibility of a re-birth.

And with each new life, anything is possible.

Ask yourself – "Have you died today?"

Please try it and let me know what you discover!

Peace, Love, Beauty,

Sarah Maria

Thought provoking and an Awareness reminder; Observing the process from a distance, with a detached perspective indeed.

This process powerfully mitigates the Egoistic; Self Centered pursuit, where there is; I, Me, My, Mine

Along with its enhanced scope of possibilities, it brings forth a humble Realization and adds meaning to so many aspects of Life

A realization that all aspects and factors of Life is/are transitory and fleeting from one moment to another; the fleet/transition is not aimless or random, it is well orchestrated by Nature and the investment that we are consistently encouraged to put into Life and its Wonderful Moments

The more tightly we cling onto the moment, the more rapidly it accelerates its speed heading towards the culmination and evolution process; namely the completion of one phase and the glorious commencement another promising opportunity

The preliminary, The intermediate and The eventual phases are all linked with the most sensitive aspect, The Moment

What we do with The Moment; How we utilize it; encouraging us to contribute our endeavors each day towards The Benefit, Peace, Well Being, Goodness, Happiness, Prosperity and Progress of The Universe consistently

In many ways, the virtue of Realization is by itself a powerful factor that strongly influences each and every constituent of Life and enables facilitation of comprehending the finest value of each Moment intrinsically

When we Realize the importance of each and every Moment and Responsibly attend to our duties, our obligations, our assignments, our agendas meticulously; we are investing in our finest Moments wisely since along with the attendance and disciplined approach to the various aspects of Life, we are recreating Value for the Moment

So when the Moment elapses and evolves, it brings along with an greater treasure in the subsequent set of Moments that come along provided one does not only remain eagerly awaiting the treasure since the anticipated waiting phase will cloud our vision in not being able to recognize the grandeur of the Moment; for within each Moment is hidden the most powerful meaning encouraging us to discover our Purpose and live a Life of Meaningful Purpose and Values constructively

This is a process that could be discussed extensively and with revelation what comes forth is fascinating since it brings us closer to some many magnificent possibilities that remain latent within us; within each and every one of us, we hold a sparkling treasure; tremendous abilities whose value is incomparable and beyond any gauge; however with each Moment lived meaningfully, constructively, passionately and with a purpose of meaningful values and principles, we are complimenting the Moment; since we are reciprocating the gift of the Moment and contributing to the Moment with Appreciation and Gratitude by attending to our endeavors Responsibly

    The discovery is a continual process, it was, has and will continue to be with us infinitely; what depends is when we tend to discover; whether we Realize now or later, but we all do come to Realize a lot of aspects in Life and each aspect of Life teaches us and guides us to live each and every Moment gratefully, with awareness, with recognition, appreciation and gratitude regarding the immense importance and potential that each Moment holds;

Each Moment is Meaningful; Each Moment is Purposeful; Each Moment is Constructive; Each Moment is Priceless, a Treasure beyond Compare.

Sarah, excellent subject, another way to look at. Death is a process of change. Every change starts with death of old process and birth of new process. Watching something die and something else being born is an excellent way of letting go. Death of one thought and birth of another thought. Wow that is excellent to watch.

    Hi Sarah,

I totally agree with you on this. In fact I try and practice this idea in my presence.

And yet, there are so many instances where I continue to fail. I fail to apply this principle to things and people who have become a part of me over the years… Like every living being, I do not want a part of me to die.

I realize that I have not 'reached' as yet…

    Warm Regards
