Have You Ever Really Been (In) Love(d)?

There has certainly been a lot written on this subject. I awoke contemplating the song title "Have You Ever Been In Love?" and it occurred to me that that’s the wrong question. We should be asking "Have We Ever Really Been Loved?" Given how overused and misused the word "love" is, seems to me that the longing is really about being properly and deeply loved, ideally, first as a child. Because being loved is the source of our capacity to love ourselves and others. And if I’m reading this quote right, it all starts with truly loving ourselves, which we learn from being loved, a never ending chain of infinite love, if we can just tap into it…

    I've seen this happening to a few. Then they conclude that they are going crazy…. Or somebody tells them that they are…. then the tap just get switched off…… pity!
