Many of you have noticed and commented on the slowness of the site, technical glitches and disappearing content modules. During January, we are completely overhauling Intent.com to once and for all amend these issues. The slowness of the site and bugs are due to older, sub-par coding. We’ve procurred enough server and database space to promise you a fast and functiional experience on Intent come February.
As our brave developer Tom reworks the site, he’ll be temporarily suspending certain features and content modules (you might have noticed that the Video of the Day is gone). The upside of Tom’s handywork and your patience, beyond a much faster site, is that we can bring you lots of fun and interactive features in the coming months.
Thank you for the many comments and suggestions we’ve received on how we can improve Intent. We’re right there with you, eager for the site to be a version of its best self. We promise, it will be soon. In the meantime, please pardon our dust as we renovate!
Happy New Year,
The team at Intent

Ah, good to know. It's been frustrating at times. I appreciate the update and am looking forward to new features. Thanks for all your efforts and hats off to Tom, can't be easy.
Yes, indeed Good News ! Thank you for your efforts . .
good luck
Problems? There are only solutions.
I do hope some of the solutions include;
1.Preview and edit button, before posting blog.
2. A simple and concise way of tracking comments from other users
3.A simple and concise way of being able to track our own comments…ex. sent and received boxes…on our profile page.
And maybe
4. Virtual coffee, or tea? Make mine green please.
Thanks for the update.
I am with you all the way.

Thanks for letting us know. And good luck!
Thanks you Tom !
Thanks for your commitment. We'll be here when the dust settles to see Intent shining more brightly than ever.
Peace, Love and Harmony…
Till such time, can i pl get a trans-script of these exchanges, as requested earlier ?

Thank you.
Kind wishes,
Bobby
Hi Razz,
I am very much with you, in line with your suggested improvements, though with a small addition to point 4.
Tom, if it isn't too much of a bother, could you pl throw in a couple of cookies with the tea/coffee ? Salted would be fine for me.

Thanks
I thought it was my computer illiteracy showing again.

Ah, thanks for the we-are-working-on-it note

This from someone who send a couple of notes to both webmaster and Malika. I didn't want to repeat what I had suggested, but perhaps others would agree with two of them.
— 1. Blogs and Comments Editing —
Blog
As someone noted above, a preview on posting a Blog would be nice. For now, I use two browser windows, one for creating and the second for preview–which has to be refreshed to show edits.
Comments
Just as important, the Comments section should have the standard preview and edit function also. No matter how good a writer we may be, typos and after-thoughts happen.
(And… Comments are just as important as the initial blog, yes?
)
Last but not absolute necessity, but perhaps more user friendly, the inclusion of basic formatting (bold, italic, image link, etc.) in Comments would give one the ability to be a bit more personal or creative.
— 2. Personal Profile Lacks Basic Paragraph Formatting —
The site code for this "first impression" part of our membership here has no formatting whatsoever. Some people write a sentence or two which works out if as part of one paragraph.
But over that, it all lumps into one big block of text, irregardless if the text one inputs.
Why is this important?
The human eye will tend to start skipping down, looking for a visual breather (paragraph break) once it encounters more than 5-10 lines of text.
It's also part of our shorter and shorter Net-age attention spans
)
Case in point on suggested Comments editing option (and I thought I had proof-read)…
"But over that, it all lumps into one big block of text, irregardless if the text one inputs." It should have been "…. irregardless OF the text one inputs."
My bad. I could have fixed the bad had there been…
