Here comes the sun*

Here comes the Sun*

Sparkling clear rivers shimmer from the glow
The night is quiet as the moon casts what it shows
Stars and galaxies play far away with a twinkle
The rocks and tree bark which has tight wrinkles
Water, trees and rocks with moss that never sleeps
Look a little closer and you see what nature keeps
It is the breath of wind so cool to feel
It will go fast as the night when Sun comes, the day does steal*

Dearest Rouzanna, I read a book by Philip Kapleau and titled the THREE PILLARS OF ZEN..and it had a quote in it as to saying this"we were brought into this world without shovels." meaning we should appreciate what we have and not dig up anything before us or ahead of us..as in my mantra it is always str8 ahead..one hand clapping+++++>..enjoy my love*

Here comes the Sun

Here in Slovenia, it is such a grey day.  The sun is hiding as we head towards the shortest day.

I have been working with my little packets of Sunflower seeds harvested from a giant Sunflower Mandala I created here on the land this year.  I didn’t know how I would make up packets of seeds for the Children of the World to plant next year, but I found a seed packet template on the Internet and it even has sunflowers already printed on growing very  tall.

I have already left one packet at the primary school my father attended around 80 years ago in Leeds UK and another one is on its way to the Children’s Centre which is for the very young children.

So I know that inside these seeds the Sun is always shining, even when I look up and see just a blanket of clouds.  I think how we conceal our own joy sometimes under a blanket and don’t let our radiant hearts shine.

I will soon be posting some photos of the Giant Sunflower Mandala 2008, called Moonshine.  Come back and visit again.

All love, joy and peace

Mandalalinda

P.S.  Looking forward to hearing any of your own Sunflower stories!

About mandalalinda

Earth lover, mother and grandmother - passionate about  dance, sunflowers, children and mandalas.  I am a pioneer and dreamer, living wildly on the edge of form and allowing the ephemeral to infuse my passions.  In this way I can create spontaneously, allowing the vibrancy of light, colour and movement to infuse my voice, my art, my writing, my gardening, all of me.  In this freedom, I can know joy, embrace it in my heart and let it go.
