Home, spirituality and world peace

We are always talking about world peace , but in reality living peacefully even with our family members  seems to be a challenging task ! Even with the small nuclear families the astronomical rise in divorce rates in the west is quite alarming. Even those who sacrifice to make their relatioships work either burn out from the effort or simply give up snd blame it on the others.

The kids are undersdtandably the most affected. This gives rise to the either kids becoming law breakers or they take  emotional advantage of their parent’s guilt to make easy money.

Another sorry aspect is the state of the old people who ae left entirely to the state old homes in most cases to be ‘looked after’.

It is my belief that  any man/woman may contribute to world peace even now by being at peace and harmony  the people around him/her. This can come only by forgiveness and understanding.

The goal of this article is not to make people feel sorry or look down upon western society. The practice of peace is indeed very difficult. Nor I am implying that all relationships should always work out. The above ideas are just my observations on current social trends.

I conclude that a wonderful opportunity beckons us to contribute to world peace and spiritual well being ( both are interlinked according to me) 24/7 around us, in our neighbourhood, in our homes and most importantly within ourselves. We may not work for world peace at a global organization at all but only for peace around us and we will definitely make the world a much more peaceful place.
