How can we help the people affected by the current disaster in the Gulf?
Let us come together collectively to create more proactive solutions and innovations to prevent problems like this from happening again.
As the professional community, we are in the fantastic position of being able to creatively devise solutions to some of the world’s major challenges, and to allocate the resources necessary to turn theory into practice.
We need to draw attention and energy away from the finger pointing, and instead offer constructive ideas and suggestions for ways in which we can learn from the situations like those in the Gulf, and prevent them in the future.
I have also launched the LinkedIn Group “Collective Creativity” at http://chopra.linkedin.com. Cut & paste this link into your browser to join me there, and we’ll continue today’s discussion well into the future.

How do we help the people of the Gulf?
1. We must first find a way to stop the gush.
2. Then we must find a way to clean up the mess. This will take years. There may already have been irreparable damage to the eco-system.
3. BP must be made to compensate those whose livelihoods depend on the Gulf…the fishermen, the hotels, the boaters etc.
Well, that's what I think.
By calling yourself a professional community you are pointing a finger too Deepak.
It might sound strange but Nature itself is always capable to re-establish itself.
And as we are a part of nature we are able to do that too in a natural way.
I found my natural own way and most people already have.
Those who are wealthy should consider dotanating to help those affected.
Hello…mieke…nice to see u! damn!
I quite agree, Meike……Nature sometimes spills 'oil.' Well, as a mataphor, all the time. I hate that word professional! Sounds like a set-up
