Thank you so much for this answer. I needed to hear that too!

My struggle has always been with weight, I lose and gain. I'm working on a healthy lifestyle, listening to my body and letting the weight fall where it may. I tend to want to hide from the world when my weight is up and I'm not letting myself do this anymore!

I'm going to use your advise when my mind wanders into unhelpful thinking:)

Quick and painless dear, here's is the deal. The more you love the things about yourself you think are ugly, fat rolls, baldness, cellulite, pimples, whatever, the more beautiful you become. So stroke those beautiful love handles, caress that sexy smooth head, and blow kiss to the pimples and cellulite. Because its YOU and you are PERFECT! and thats what make you Perfect! Loving it exacly how it IS. And ya know what else, the moment you do this, other people are lined up to stroke and caress that YOU you thought was unlovable! YUP!

    Love,

    Tammy

All of us in this have a bunch of insecurities, and of course body image is the most common. Remember the saying " I pitied a man who had no shoes till i saw a man who had no feet" , so really we have so many things in our body to be grateful for. Also, you just have to shed the emotional baggage to lose the external body weight. Staying mentally healthy and loving yourself is the 1st step.

I was also once highly critical of my body, always exercising to extremes to burn calories without giving my body the love and appreciation it deserved for all that it has carried me through. It wasn't until pain and illness entered my life that I really started changing this pattern, that is unfortunately so common. I realized that our body responds to our feedback…negative feedback is weakening, positive feedback can be life saving. Try treating your body as you would a small child. A small child that needs support, encouragment, appreciation, love. Protect your body like you would a small child, from any thought of criticism or negativity, using loving thoughts feelings and touch. Positive affirmations are also wonderful!

Dear Goddess, Your question reflects the sad and juvenile culture that you live in, because patriarchy has everything backwards. Human sexuality is not about women pleasing men and having to conform to a ridiculous standard of beauty that was not selected for by the evolutionary process, but about women feeling beautiful and loved. For most of our 190,000 years on this planet life was very precarious. Death was always lurking. Opposing this force was life energy itself. Only women can carry and bring forth life. Only women risk their very lives to have sex and possibly die in childbirth. All women, are connected to the Goddess herself because of this great truth. The Goddess is not a person but a consciousness. It is a consciousness of beauty and a consciousness of love that women much more than men can personally experience during orgasm. This is especially so during the prolonged states of ecstatic bliss that a mature woman can have in liminal time. Yes the older a woman becomes the better she is at spiritual sexuality where you share your orgasms with the consciousness of the Divine Feminine. Your body dear woman, evolved to be the source of great feelings not only of pleasure, but of a connection outside of your physical body to sacred eternal feelings of being beautiful and loved. You are beautiful and loved because you exist. That is how you were made. Just be yourself and allow yourself to be within your body and your beauty will manifest itself. Then you will find a man to adore and worship that beauty.

    love and light,

I met a woman named Debbie online and we became friends, she as it turned out was a plus size and like you it bothered her tremedously,I only knew Debbie for two years before she passed away but in that time I found her to be the most loving, caring person that I had ever met, when I looked at her I only saw this beatiful woman that God had sent to be my friend, she chenged my life forever and taught me to never again judge a person for who or what they are,I wouldn't have traded my short time with her for every fashion model in the world. Her inner beauty far surpassed any earthly beauty and I have missed her terribly since she left.Don't let the world tell you who you are sweety, you came into this world for a purpose, and you are loved by God.

I'd have to agree you really need to be comfortable with your own body, you can exercise and watch what you eat to have a better figure. I think people who use steroids are usually obsessed with their appearance.

My body is beautiful because it is doing me the service of carrying my spirit within it.

If you have trouble with your perception about the image of your body you can go to a psychologist and talk about it and you can also read some books about the quantum consciousness. You will find out that all of us are part of a bigger universal consciousness and at that level, your physical appearance does not count that much. Hope you understand and if you don't, follow my advice.

This woman needs exercises and she will loose her weight, if she does not exercise that means she does care, she does not want enough to be slim.

All the exercise in the world will not change a thing if you feel bad on the inside.. I know from personal experience. The vision of what women "should" be on the television and in media is impossible if not unhealthy to look at. REAL women have curves.. and I love each and every one of them.. but I love myself inside first and foremost.. for without that,, the outside will not look appealing no matter what you do.. embrace your divine,, love yourself exactly as you are right NOW.. Being slim is not the end all be all.. it is what is reflected from your inside that makes the beauty rise.. big loving hugs.. you are a divine spirit that is PERFECT right NOW!

Our body is not just our skin or hair or figure.

Taking care of our skin and hair and figure is not enough.

We need to improve functioning of our whole body, including our brain, stomach, lungs, intestine, tongue, etc.

Let the glow come from within our body.

When we improve functioning of our inner body, we automatically gain confidence.

Make conscious effort to improve our inner body parts like brain, stomach, spleen, liver, intestine, lungs etc. with Yogic exercise.
