How to Set (and Switch) Your Primary Intent

Good afternoon Intent Community,

Our tip this week…setting your PRIMARY INTENT!

The process for setting or changing your primary intent currently requires a little finessing. Many of you (myself included) have tried to make a new intent or a past intent your primary intent to no avail.

To set an intent as your Primary intent, no other intents can be selected as Primary. Our system currently displays the first intent that you selected for a Primary intent as your Primary intent.

  • Go to your intent page (once you’re on your profile page, click the "Intents" tab at the top)
  • Review your intents to see that no more than one is selected as your Primary. Click on an intent, then select the "Edit" tab at the top of the page
  • Unselect every intent as Primary
  • Click "Submit"

Some of you may also be missing a Primary intent even though you entered one earlier this year. (This is a by-product of having tweaked the site to run faster and more smoothly). Follow the instructions above and select one of your intents to be Primary. Click "Submit" and voilà, your Primary intent is back.

It’s also fun to check your intents page to see what comments you received. I just took a look and am smiling wide from the wonderful support people have given me. Thanks guys!

As always, please let me know if you have any questions. You can drop them right in the comments below or email me at Eden@intent.com.

xoxo, Eden
