I Honor the Sacrifice of the Many

Each time I eat anything that has lived, and their life has been taken for my nourishment, I give a prayer and thanks for the sacrifice of their lives.  For the last week I have spent lots of time praying and giving thanks to the enumerable delicious precious fish that I have enjoyed, especially the divine lobster.  There is nothing like eating fresh fish right from the fishing boats.  I was fascinated by the challenging life of a fisher family.  They get up very early in the morning and head to their boats.  The weather can be very dangerous and even prevent them from getting out to make their living.  They check their traps, fish the waters and work from daylight until dark.  I read the local fishing paper, The Fishing Times, with all the news affecting fishing families.  Everyone of us who eat fish must get informed about legislation that affects this difficult industry.  We enjoy eating this wondrous food source but most of us are not mindful of the sacrifice of the fishing families.  They struggle to make a decent living with the licenses and regulations that are complicated and ever changing.  When you take a trip to a fishing area, please get to know the fisher people and learn about their fascinating, rich and challenging lives.

its really quite enchanting to watch fishermen even in rivers (ocean is very challenging), and lakes or ponds. i used to watch them a lot, the way they set the net and then haul it.

Wish you love, peace and happiness.

I too, honor the sacrifice of many, especially those who have fought and died in numerous battles in order to keep me safe and free. Thank you God that I do live in the land of the free and the home of the brave….Really brave!

May I always be mindful of, and thankful for, everyone of them.

Thank you to all those millions of people, young boys and girls, men and women from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you, all of you, who have died and are still dying to protect my life and freedom. I am proud to be an American.
