The Vow is a drop of water that has just hit the surface of our collective conciousness. This video is a ripple that will soon become a tidal wave: unstoppable, full of energy and certain to transform! I'm sending this video to everyone I know and registering my participation on the I Take The Vow website!
WOW!!
Dearest Deepak!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had shivers up my spine watching and listening to this. For sure, I will be asking my friends to take the vow with me.
Lots of love, light and peace to you.
Sheila xx
I LOVE seeing Deepak dancing up on stage…lol, that is great
I'm happy that the wording has been changed to peace. According to law of attraction, when we say the word violence, we are adding that to our vibrations and drawing it to us, therefore bringing focus and attention and growing it, so let's say take the vow of peace, peaceful thoughts, peaceful beliefs, etc, etc, and keep the V-word completely out of it. That is how I worded my vow as well.
PEACE,
Krissy
Yes, the vow of PEACE is beautiful!
I take this opportunity to repeat my vow of peace, and urge others to introduce the following to their elected representative. See if they will take the vow.
'Projected law, the enactment, promulgation and enforcement of which will prevent war among nations' (1928)
Proposed by Lt. Gen. Fritz Holm
Copenhagen, Denmark
The following measures shall be taken within 10 hours of initiation of acts of war, or declaration of war.
Those who fit the following categories shall be gathered as lowest rank soldiers and sent as quickly as possible to the front lines, to participate in combat under enemy fire.
1. Head of State, with caveat that such person, whether monarch or president, be male.
2. Male relatives of head of state, who have reached age 16.
3. Prime Minister and Minister/Secretary of State.
4. Male legislators elected by citizens. Those who cast votes against war shall be exempted.
5. Christian and other faith leaders who did not publicly oppose war.
Those who fit the categories above shall be conscripted as privates, without regard for age or health. These men shall receive a medical examination by a military medical officer upon reporting for duty.
Wives, daughters and sisters of the above shall be conscripted to serve as nurses or orderlies, and stationed at field hospitals closest to combat.

Dear Deepak,
100 Million people across the world to take this vow, it is a wonderful intent. I will take the vow for non violence in thought, speech and action @ http://www.itakethevow.com and e mail friends encouraging them to do the same. I look forward to the 100 Million Celebration.
Love
Paul
Deepak,
I have wanted to take this vow since I first heard you speak of it, but I have a concern. A vow of non-violent speech and action feels comfortable to me. For non-violent thought I wonder, though, what happens when a situation spontaneously causes angry thoughts to arise. Would that be in conflict with this vow? Or is it the conscious choice to not linger on those thoughts that would support this vow? And how does one handle the natural instinct to protect a child or loved one from harm?
My life intention is peace, harmony, laughter, love – I feel strongly about this intention, and I gratefully find myself living in that space the majority of the time. However, intention seems not so strict as a vow. Perhaps I'm taking this too literally, but – while I don't anticipate or live in fear of having violence come into my life – I do fear that the very nature of being human might inadvertently cause a person to break this vow, or at least the vow as I am currently interpreting it.
In Lightness and Gratitude ~ Mahaila
