"I’m the Only Daddy You Got! I’m the Paterfamilias!
February 12th, 2010

Newsweek recently reported a story about a 51-year-old man, who between 1980 and 1994 donated his sperm twice a week in order to make cash for medical school and to nurture his altruistic desires to help infertile women. Kirk Maxey states, “I loved having kids, and to have these women doomed to wandering around with no family didn’t seem right, and it’s easy to come up with a semen donation.”

Don’t get me started."

I

God is in "I" and "I" is God ,

so God is "I" and "I" is God,

as all "I" are God,

all "I" are same,

if all "I’ are same,

and all "I" are God

all "I" want peace, love

= Peace, Love

Question to Deepak: Once you achieve the top level of human potential what do you with it? And what is the point of getting there? I am awake, I live in the present moment and can easily realize when I slip out of the present calling myself back into being. I just keep on living this way I guess being and doing?

Answer from Deepak: Actualizing your potential is being your true self, and that takes care of the doing automatically. The other thing to bear in mind here is that being awake and in the present moment is not the pinnacle of human potential. It is an important milestone in the unfoldment of higher states of consciousness for sure, but in many ways it is really only the beginning of the fun part of the journey.

Over time you will stabilize this self-awareness so that it is a constant presence that lasts 24 hours a day. This then provides the basis the next phase of growth toward God consciousness, which involves the refinement of the senses. The experience of the subtle levels of existence gives rise to the highest expression of appreciation of the heart. When you live in this state of consciousness for some time, it naturally ripens into the state of unity consciousness where the experience of unity dominates every aspect of your life. This is where true bliss is experienced. But even here, consciousness still continues to grow and expand.

Love,
Deepak

    "state of unity consciousness"

"consciousness still continues to grow and expand."

"true bliss" is a permanent state of happiness. Basically it is one in all and all in one or it is everything or nothing.

Ha, a person need to experience the true bliss to know it. A state from where nobody would like to come out of.

It is interesting ( appallingly exciting) to imagine how it wud feel to have familiarity with highest level of expanse of consciousness.

I have just a guess that is exactly vedic guys quote as Satchittanand( True-spiritual-pleasure )and Param-ananda ( Ultimate pleasure or bliss).

I choose pleasure to bliss because of formers' naughty-addictive component( in my case at least) as Lord Krishna mentioned in Geeta ," one may remain in illusion of physical relationship as the ultimate moment of pleasure, which is momentary , just a fleeting one.Ask those who remain in permanent state of pleasure having found it out through Adhyatmic (spiritual) conduit. That is ultimate of all pleasures."

For me ,it is spiritual-pleasure addiction. It is interesting the way we shift from addiction to addiction from 'physical worlds' unrealism to spiritual worlds' realism'.

Consciousness and awareness of it turns into an addiction, a dependence. One wants to stay in it 24*7 hours.Yep, it certainly can be argued as 'The reality' to justify the addiction.

I guess, Nirvana isnt acheivable until a soul gets devoid of even this addiction or desire for exploring more and more of consciousness.

Can "this presence" be described? I have a continuous awareness that has a subtle frequency, it's like a soft continuous pitch that never goes away. At times it gets louder and when that happens its usually followed by a gentle vibration in the left lobe of my brain. The vibration last a few seconds at most and is never annoying. Then at night while sleeping, there's a different sensation, i'm still struggling with this one because… well let's just say… I call it a spiritual flash but others might call it a hot flash.

    Hugs, Lily

Thanks for the post. It precisely puts into words that the quest (enlightenment) is never ending. There are no boundaries. This is profound and beautiful at the same time.

Good enough. Feeling the bliss and the conciousness continues to grow and expand….Now what ? Even if of the highest level, was it all for a Feel Good expirience?

I think, the very intent to attain this state is to attain my peak level of efficiency/performance. Now, starts my Karma, my deeds in the right direction to fufill in serving my Lord, God, the Universal One. This, by being very much with the people, enviorment. Only then, I can feel the real thrill, when I am channalising my full energy thus obtained, through productive work. Like a sportsman would go through rigorous exersises to reach peak level, so that he/she can give his/her best in the field/game.

Else, it remains only a 'Feel Good' experience in aid of none, not even to himself either. Besides, this extrime spiritual 'pleasure' will not be sustainable if not connected to or channalised in hectic activtiy. Like, having a huge powerhouse of electricity, yet not a single light lit !

Dr. Chopra's answer reminds me of one of my spiritual teachers, Rev. Koyo Kubose, who has always told me, "Keep going, keep going," whenever I had any sort of awareness growth.

Needless to say, I follow his advice and have found so many teachers along the way to remind me that this is the way.

How does one really know if/when they have achieved their full potential? Or is it just their mind telling them another "story"? Could it be that potential has no boundaries? Or levels?
