Intend the Return of Laura Ling and Euna Lee

In light of the recent sentencing of US journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee in North Korea, and the ongoing stalemate in US and  North Korean relations, it is vital that we all hold in our hearts and minds the space within which a resolution can be reached so these women can be quickly returned to their families and loved ones. The nine principles of conflict resolution are a good framework upon which we can create that supportive space of consciousness. Let’s keep these points in mind as we begin a conversation with the North Korean government for their return. I hope and pray they will be released soon.

1. Speak and treat each party with respect.

2. Understand there is perception of injustice on both sides.

3.  Be willing to forgive and ask for forgiveness.

4. Refrain from belligerence.

5. Try to understand each other’s value systems.

6. Don’t try prove the other side wrong or make them lose face.

7. Refrain from ideological discussions.

8. Recognize that fear is a factor for both sides.

9. Use the principles emotional intelligence to access their feelings as well as those of the other party.

Dear Deepak, allow me please to use a very personal technique regarding thse kind of issues.

Long experience has taught me many times that we can make a very great difference everytime that we accompany our prayers with a visualization. In this case it would be to make loving protective clouds colored PINK. Pink would be God's immense Love. This cored pink cloud is very active because it has a creative spinning energy which affects people at diffrent levels of consciousness. I've used this technique above my home, country, my love ones and our planet, so it will be our united fraternal loving power on these two wonderful women which wii make the big difference!

    THANK YOU!

    Ezequiel.

    An ex-green mansions happy dweller.

Yes, I completely agree that "it is vital that we all hold in our hearts and minds the space within which a resolution can be reached so these women can be quickly returned to their families and loved ones." And I fully support the nine points that you list to help guide conversations toward a diplomatic resolution. Thank you for sharing this important article!

    Peace and love,

    Dr. Deb

Thank You-Gracias Hermano-Brother Deepak ~ I was just watching CNN earlier and found out about the unjust sentence declared for our two courageous sisters. Now I have checked out Reuters:

"Journalists' families ask North Korea for leniency ~ Mon Jun 8, 2009 9:48pm EDT ~ By Jon Herskovitz

    LINK: http://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSS…

SEOUL, June 9 (Reuters) – Relatives of two U.S. journalists sentenced to 12 years hard labour in North Korea called on the reclusive state to show compassion, while U.S. President Barack Obama's spokesman said the two were innocent and should be freed.

Monday's harsh sentence by one of the North's top courts deepened the chill between Washington and comes as global powers are looking to punish destitute Pyongyang for a nuclear test in May that put it closer to having a working atomic bomb."

We should all totally support the nine principles of conflict resolution mentioned above in order to 'create that supportive space of consciousness.' I am so glad that in these troubling times we have the Power of the Internet in order to share information, spread knowledge and advance humane wisdom, at least among those of us who are fortunate enough to have Internet access. So much in life balances around the core concept of cosmic consciousness, one that sees the big picture and our role in connected reality, not as simply a far out 'New Age' ideal, but one that comprehends the cosmos in relation to our being alive as human entities upon the same Mother Earth.

Bruce Lee once said that the struggle between for and against is the mind's worst disease. It is essential for us all to see ourselves as individual members of the human family, to learn more about Korean history and to not over-simplify matters between 'us and them', 'the good guys vs. the bad guys' and 'cowboys and Indians'. Let us always seek spiritual unity with others in the name of love for the human family, especially those from other cultures that may seen foreign and strange to us. Freedom for Laura Ling, Euna Lee and All Humans Caged Without Justice!
