Intend then Allow!
The other day while meditating, I learned this important lesson. I didn’t have as much time to meditate as I normally do, and I found myself trying to speed up the process–and force myself to feel peace. I then became frustrated that I couldn’t get to the state I wanted to, in the short amount of time that I had. Finally, my utter mistake dawned on me! You just can’t force things in life. Force only pushes things away, and you only experience resistance. It was when I let go of my expectations and demands that my meditation became effective. I then realized that I could be practicing this principle with all the desires in my life! Intend your desires, while letting go of associated stress, transmuting it to stillness and watchfulness. Then accept everything that happens as Divine Process. I repeat, "to hold, you must first open your hand. Let go."
About likefreshair
I enjoy discovering light. Sharing it with others just adds to the bliss! I have a blog dedicated to daily inspiration @ www.LikeFreshAir.blogspot.com ...my small attempt to make a difference. I love to discuss with others about their beliefs and learn from them. One of my favorite quotes: "The joy of Being, which is the only true happiness, cannot come to you through any form, possession, achievement, person, or event--through anything that happens. That joy cannot come to you--ever. It emanates from the formless dimension within you, from consciousness itself and thus is one with who you are" ~ Eckhart Tolle. I wish you with all the love, joy and abundance possible!

That truly is the secret.
Its like water – to hold water in your palms you must open them and hold, the moment you try to clench your fist to hold tight, it spills through your fingers and go away …
this is such a beautiful, beautiful idea.
Very true…and such a simple yet powerful concept.
Thank you for sharing
