Thank you to everyone who supported Intent Team’s intent to clean up our local beaches! We ended up getting over 60 clicks of support for our intent (1 support = 1 minute of Intent Team volunteering), and as promised, the Intent team spent their Saturday morning picking up trash from the sands of Dockweiler Beach in Southern California just this past weekend on July 18.
We were inspired to see many other people–families, single individuals, senior citizens, couples–all volunteering their precious weekend time to support Heal the Bay’s monthly efforts to keep our local oceans and beaches as clean and safe as possible for everyone to enjoy. Volunteers rock!
Which brings us to our next great, big Intent-inspired volunteer event–we want YOUR idea! What cause or event based in the Los Angeles area should we volunteer our time for next? Are you a part of a great non-profit or volunteer organization that needs helpers for an upcoming event? Do you know of a soup kitchen or homeless shelter in the Southern California area that supports the community on a weekly basis? Whatever the cause is–so long as it fits into our theme of global wellness–we want to hear about it, and if we realy like it, we just might make that our next Intent-inspired volunteer event!
So what are you waiting for? Please send us your suggestions for our next Los Angeles-based volunteer event editor@intent.com Deadline for ideas is end of August 5.

What a great way to give back to the community. Well done Intent team – I'm sorry I couldn't make it this time – I look forward to joining you next time.
Wow great video and great effort on a Saturday morning! I love that children can get involved in beach clean up too. Nice job Intent!
Awesome and Inspiring! The video too is great. I wish I was there. But I can always try something similar here. I have a green option in my mind- Encouraging people to use grocery bags made up of cloth instead of paper or plastic by being at largest grocery store in one's area and asking people to buy one, (may be figure it out with the store to sell bags for them because they do have bags where you check out, instead one can sell them right at the entrance with some banner like "No paper, no plastic!").
Peace and Love

Looking forward to reading everyone's suggestions for our next event!
