All things are inconstant except the faith in the soul,
which changes all things and fills their inconstancy
Faith changes everything. It’s easy to be discouraged and it’s easy to give up. People give up everyday and sometimes throwing in the towel is the best option, but today we want to think about the circumstances that require a little faith. These are the circumstances that scare us a little bit, that require a little bit of hope and strength. These are the things that challenge us but ultimately make us stronger and more prepared to tackle the next big vision. We intend to keep the faith!
You too? Here are 3 things to help you do that:
- Write it down. It sounds simple and easy, but the truth is we forget so quickly and if you’re wanting to keep the faith, we recommend writing it down. Record the date. Record your feelings. Record the thoughts you have on a direction. When you find yourself dipping into discouragement, this is a good time to revisit a time when you were encouraged and inspired. Who better to help you keep the faith than you?
- Tell someone else. Sometimes being our own cheerleader is difficult. This is when you want friends and family who know your heart to cheer you on. To do this, it means you have to open up and share. Tell someone where you’re going and how they can help. Check in. Check in on their journey. Get involved in the lives of others and let them help spur you on to greatness.
- Decide what it’s worth to you. Put some skin in the game. It’s easier to lose faith when we’ve invested nothing but when we know what we’re working for, things change. Is it worth changing a pattern of unhealthy relationships? Is it worth a bright future for you and your children? Is it worth becoming equipped to launch the business you’ve been dreaming of? Look at where you are and where you want to go. What would you lose by taking a risk? And what could you lose by not taking a risk?
