“My intent is to appreciate the magnificent beauty of nature.”
Support Carol-Ann’s intent
Discovery Channel’s 25th Annual Shark Week is going on right now. I love Shark Week because it is educational, fascinating, exciting and above all awe-inspiring. Ironically, it was in front of my television that I sat amazed by how magnificent our planet really is. I was reminded that we are only one piece of the puzzle that is Earth and that we share it with many phenomenal creatures. I envied all those people who go out each day and immerse themselves in all things natural.
Our lives these days are consumed by technology. We spend most of our time on our computers or our smart phones or in front of the television. I personally cannot remember the last time I went to a park. We all claim to love nature and enjoy the wilderness but very few of us actually go out and enjoy it. To quote the words of Khalil Gibran, “forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.”
This weekend, make it your intent to go out and appreciate the magnificent beauty of our planet. Go to the beach and take a long walk on the sand. Go for a hike and refresh yourself. Go out and remind yourself of the beauty that surrounds us each day.
