Jan. 25th Monday-it’s a new day

It’s a new day. Just like every day is a new day…& I love that! You get the chance to start all over again, try to finish what you started, or get started. Sometimes, especially after a run of RN work at UT Medical, I ike to use the day for re-balancing. Sometimes, I go as far as to call it "damage control". I say this b/c of what one is exposed to in the likes of a Level 1 Trauma & Teaching Hospital, such as UT Medical. It is a fine establishment & I find it a priviledge to have the opportunity to work there. What I did not realize before I became a RN 5 years ago, was the level that people choose to live in disease. Yes, choose. I would say that roughly 85% of the patients I work with, choose to be sick to the point that it means a trip, short, extended, or repetitive, to the hospital. And yes, I am including the trauma cases as well.

In fact, UT Medical is building a brand new, multi million dollar Heart Hospital devoted  to persons who make decisions that lead them to cardiovascular disease.  Very interesting.  I do acknowledge the true inherient cardiology case, they are real. However, remember what I said in the beginning; 85% (in my evaluation) are making the choice to live the pathway of disease; and we are there for them.

Today, I am making the choice to live life in the best of my Body Mind and Soul…and that’s what you do, your best, over & over….until…..voila…the change is real, it is visible. You can feel it.

Good luck today. You are prescious. Live your life this way.

Best,

PMP
