Leaders Make Decisions

All that stands between you and your leadership best is a decision. All it takes to dramatically raise your standards, work at wow, play at peak and generally be the person you’ve always wanted to become is a single decision to do so. Leadership Without a Title has a lot to do with making decisions. And then executing flawlessly around them until you win. Here’s a beautiful example.

If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you know I send messages from wherever I’m at in my travels, sharing insights and observations. I was on my way home from Central America and tweeted some leadership ideas, while also mentioning I would be transiting through MIA (Miami’s airport). A fan of The Greatness Guide named Vicente Passariello, who also does a motivational radio show, made a decision. He’d drive over to the airport, wait four hours until I landed, talk his way through security (legally and completely legitimately) and meet me at my gate.

Sure enough, just as I was getting ready to board my flight home, I hear someone asking the gate agent for me. I walked over to the young man and he flashed me a massive smile. Vicente then gave me a hug and introduced himself. "Nothing would stop me from being here Robin. I knew I’d make it. When I decide to do something, it happens." Love it.
