”Our intention creates our reality.” –Wayne Dyer

Intention is powerful. Everything that we do, whether conscious or subconscious, begins with a single intent. Imagine the infinite transformations that can occur if we consciously set an intention for ourselves every single day for the rest of our lives.

An intention is a powerful exercise in mindfulness and meditation. When you know what your intention is and you can articulate the intention you wish to achieve for yourself, you are directing your energy and thoughts towards a goal or an outcome you wish to manifest rather than letting life mindlessly pass before you.

Make intention an important aspect of your day-to-day. Every time you sit down to meditate, ask yourself what your intention is. Write your intention down at the beginning of the day so that you can reference it throughout the day.

Think of stating an intention as planting a seed in the soil an trusting that the seed will eventually grow into a beautiful tree or a flower. You do not need to dig up the soil regularly to check to see if the seed is growing. All you need to do is plant the seed and trust that the universe will take care of the process in unfolding what you are meant to truly do in your life.

What is your intent today? And for the rest of your life?

EXERCISES

For the next few days, spend five minutes in the morning and in the evening meditating on an intention you wish to achieve. Imagine forming the intention in your mind and releasing it into the universe.
