A Lesson For The Intent Team: Fall Four Times, Get Up Five

Dear Intent Friends,

This last week for Intent has been an extremely difficult one.

As those of you who regularly visit the site know, Intent has been down for much of the past week.   After thinking that it was a coding or server issue, we realized that in fact it was a malicious, targeted DOS attack – one that is more complicated than most.

Alex and Tom on our team, and dedicated engineers and consultants in India, San Jose, and Israel have been working on this non-stop day and night to resolve it.  Every time we seemed to make an improvement, the attack would increase. We realize now that this attack has been going on for several months (and could explain some of our ongoing site challenges) and it ramped up last week to cripple us.
Obviously, I am sad and angry that someone would consciously target Intent and our community.  (All the evidence is that it was targeted at Intent.)  We have had to spend time, resources and money on this, and it has been and frustrating and emotional rollercoaster.  Hopefully, the site should be stabilized now.

I want to thank our community that has been incredibly supportive, through messages, advice, emails, calls and comments. In fact, your support has made us more motivated than ever to grow Intent through more features, good content, and partnerships.  I cannot tell you how gratifying it has been to feel that our hard work to create a platform for intentional living has actually touched people’s lives.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience and support.

From the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry that Intent has gone through all this.

Such a seeming waste for everyone.

No doubt, there's much value that has been gained at this stage of the game, as you move forward: security issues, technical support, and many such things have no doubt been brought to fore of your skills, and will serve you in the days ahead. Lessons learned are never wasted, as we all know.

    In love, WB

    Dear Mallika:

The Intent community is a reflection, a mirror of you. Your desire to bring people from around the world together, to embrace conscious living, to open to Spirit, to work for understanding and peace can not be thwarted or diminished by hackers, by anyone. You have a fantastic team and Intent has a fantastic originator and mentor.

    Love, Greg

Oh Mallika I am so sorry you and your devoted team had to endure such stress and pain. I am so thankful to have the system working so well and look forward to whatever will be. I love having such a supportive family around me even if I haven't met a single member of it. Such love and support should not be a rarity and this site makes that possible. Thank you all so very much! Namaste, Teena Cormack

Come to think of it…maybe it's time to revive an old window like IB where the pace is much slower and where the atmosphere is more close-knit and family like…where everyone has fun. I miss those camp fires under starry nites catered for by sister kate and her walks in nature, her gaze at the evening Moon and the colorful sunsets.

I miss ole flabs and his big tractor…i miss ole North…too. oh and Uncle Tree, too, who's now settling in for the winter on that cold, wind swept riverbank…a bit forlorne.

Now, this new site moves so fast it's hard to develop an appreciation for anything…this is not good, it's a step backward, not forward.

IB was a great site, a real good thing. Bring it back, please, Mr. Blog owner.

It's too bad they're wasting their time, because we're investing ours in keeping this light shining!

I'm so glad you had the initiative of starting Intent, it's great to see how everyday more and more people are naturally gravitating toward this way of thinking.

    God bless!

I think I joined intent just after you made it back online.

As the Shamans say, is this a good omen or what!

    Thank you,

    Hi Mallika,

Everything happens perfectly, God was not happy that Intent Blog Archives were coming up with the virus message he was very disturbed I know because God puts feelings inside of me to communicate.

I see that is now fixed : ). God likes the old Intent Blog format which is much more functional for God's purposes in at least one area, but that is okay. Just remember things go wrong perfectly when we are not in alignment with the Divine Intention or in order to get one on the correct path. It is the ego, and intention that comes from it, or lack of understanding that tends to botch things up. Also we should listen to the Divine Wisdom that comes from those God sends to us. Some may mistakenly listen to agents of the Ego Empire rather than the Divine Agents that God sends…. I have clients that lost much time and money because they listened to the ego or used people that were driven by ego rather than the spirit. Then again sometimes when we think something is wrong it is really not "wrong" and is part of the divine plan since everything happens perfectly in relation to our evolutionary needs.

Not to worry, it all works out in the end… perfectly

Malika: As much as it hurts to say that, I can only quote the Bible:

"Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." (Matthew 7:6).

This website is well intended in it

  32. Richard November 14, 2009 at 11:02 am #

Yes Diablo, what happened to Intent Blog was very disturbing, however it brought a realization so it was really perfect and lead to new development and the river changed course. I understand now that it all happened for a divine reason.

  33. Richard November 14, 2009 at 11:04 am #

You see later at certain crucial points the voice of spirit and **the intelligence** will not be compromised

  34. Richard November 14, 2009 at 11:15 am #

Mallika, you should know that there are a number sites that have come under DOS attack I wouldn't take it personally. But you could realize that the ego empire works to thwart the expression of truth. The last thing the Ego Empire wants is for your father's communication to have a clear channel. It is wise to choose experts and advisers not driven by ego but driven by spirit.

I am glad that you are still going to keep the site going after all the difficulties. I, too, cannot understand why people do malicious hacking against useful and positive websites such as yours. Congratulations on getting the site back to normal.

The fullest development of every individual creates a society of equals. The present social struggle to bring about equality on the economic or some spiritual level has no meaning at all. Social-reforms aimed at establishing equality, breed other forms of antisocial activity; but with right education, there is no need to seek equality through social and other reforms, because envy with its comparison of capacities ceases.

all is well, please remember the laws of attraction. be well and peace.
