LIFE CHANGES.

This past week I moved from the residence where I had spent the past two years due to keeping my boundaries with a couple.  I find that to be responsible means to take action and never to become victimized.  I am in a nice apartment and will have to get up an running quickly earning money.

I have kept a bracelet with me and have a great sense of protection as it was given to me by my first Meditation Master.  In the Indian tradition a bracelet signifies protection.  I met with a lady whom I have known since my daughter was young who owns a store in a suburb which is on the very outskirts of the city.  My daughter always refers to the family as hippies and perhaps that’s why I feel so comfortable with them.  They have money and share the same values that I do.  I could discuss my goal of starting meditation and spiritual life talks and be supported.

Nothing happens in isolation and without a greater purpose.  The lady I am renting from is a graphic artist and will help me design fliers to send out to invite people to the groups.  I can in turn help her with some career decisions that has affected her physical state because she is staying in a stressful position at work.  I am a Professional Life Coach!  More of an intelligent design by our creator than a coincidence I feel!  When I noticed a musical instrument in her apartment.  She became animated and her spirits were lifted when she spoke about playing her instrument.  I will help her market herself in the community and she will not have to be so reliant on her one job.

I equate diversifying our work streams of income to investments.  It would be extremely unwise to invest in one stock.  Nowadays with the economy weakened it is best to diversify and have several streams of income to be able to make ends meet if one stream runs dry.  Survival is the key for todays living.  Simplify, Simplify, Simplify.

Write positive affirmations and keep to your goals and dreams.  You will succeed and your life will be abundant.  Your creativity will guide you and bring forth the projects that will earn money for you.  Meditation is a great way of tapping into our creativity.  First the mind is stilled and senses and subdued.  Meditation takes us to a deep level within our being where creativity can be released.  We tap into the source of creativity that we have been blessed with.

I will manifest the money I need to pay rent and for food etc.  I will find the right spaces around the city to hold meditation groups and talk about spiritual life.  All is well and abundance manifests through me.  I will stay away from those who are negative and do not see the gifts that I have to share and support my life financially with.  They are the dream crushers and do not belong within my sphere of creativity and love.

May your day be blessed with abundance and continual growth in areas that bring more prosperity.

 Question for Deepak

I have studied western philosophy in Germany for 20 years, and the years before that I devoted my youth to study the classical piano. I now finally got my philosophical Habilitation (the grade after the doctor) which qualifies me to become a philosophy-professor, and I now feel like breaking out. I have the feeling I wasted my whole life in front of books (and I love people, music, nature, animals, laughter, company, art, dance, everything! Contact with human beings and everything alive). So I sometimes think of changing everything, quit my job at the university (I am not a professor yet), learn more yoga, meditation, do something for other people, help ,but is it wise to suddenly radically leave everything and start something completely new – out of nothing???  I am a beginner in yoga, and a non-knower in all the other things like meditation or medicine. (Besides: my latest book-manuscript is on creativity, my doctoral thesis was on art, especially music, and cognition, and I loved lately to work about quantum physics and metaphysics/cosmology, so I tried to follow the big cosmic questions anyhow I do not see how to follow my philosophical interests and NOT stay rotten behind the books at the expense of living! My life was not meant to spend it in front of books, I guess, and I spent so much time with books that other humans spent with humans – time that I somehow deeply regret!.  So, I plainly do not know what to do in order to not perpetuate the same feeling of mistake again and again until I die!

Answer from Deepak
Right now you are evaluating your life as if it could only be meaningful if by pursuing one theme throughout. There is no reason for you to regret your years in academia. Even though the trajectory of your growth has brought you to a new insight into what is important and rewarding activities now, your depth of study has been an essential part of the process that has led to this awakening. In the same way, classical piano in your youth   also contributed to shaping the person you have now become. Instead of regretting the time you have spent studying, try looking at how that has helped you. Find the gifts from your past and feel grateful for them. That way your experiences empower and liberate you for the next stage in your journey.

You say you feel like breaking out and ask if it’s wise to radically leave and start something new, yet I think the decision in your heart has already been made. There is really no going back to your old self. Your newfound interest in spirituality, and growth through social interaction is not going to be satisfied under the circumstances of your current world, at least not the way you have constructed it thus far. I would encourage you to listen to your heart here and fearlessly follow it where it needs to go.
Love,
Deepak

What a really sweet answer. Encouraging someone to follow their heart is such divine wisdom because it is through the "heart" that the Holy Spirit speaks. I also believe this questioner was led to find the wisdom he seeks hereunder Deepak's guidance, as his Spiritual mentor.

A Calm Mind that is helping the decisions made by the Awakened Heart would be helpful please

As Deepak has correctly opinionated; to follow the heart, I would wish to briefly express the following please

    Respectfully please:-

A Calm Mind that is helping the decisions made by the Awakened Heart would be helpful please

Once the Mind is Calm, the fullest potential can be unleashed; the greatest achievements can be envisaged; The achievements relate to service of Humanity; The greater good for one and all

The Awakened Heart is similar to the Awakened Soul – referring to release of the divine essence whereby the heart is not distinguishing upon certain criteria conventionally but is following a more higher purpose of nobility, values and principles

The above are only a very brief prelude since it is understood that what phenomenal achievements can be accomplished by a person in their lifetime once they embrace noble – moral – spiritual values and principles is phenomenal and amazing

The academic pursuits that have take so long to achieve I feel can be further improvised and a greatness could be identified which could be of more constructive purpose to the world

What my point is seeking to emphasize upon is that the person has specialized in the respective field for 20 years which is a significantly long period of time

    And with this being a noble profession – that is the grade after the Doctor;

Well what more greater achievements could one hope for; perhaps this person is destined to become a great Doctor, providing the services in the interests of the community

A Doctors profession is amongst the noblest of profession and the very most nobly respectable; Doctors save lives; The presence of a Doctor in any given situation could be so very helpful that the Doctor themselves might not realize since Doctors are our Pioneers of the Society; they serve diligently and nobly and their work is admiringly and sincerely appreciated

Now when the person wishes to leave everything and start something completely new, out of nothing?

This is a very complex process since one has been perhaps destined to invest their lifetime in achievement of amongst the greatest rewards of life and is almost nearing their goals of a lifetime but then being on the threshold of something amazing, one might be retracting and re starting all over again?

Agreed that the person spent an extremely – immensely long period of time, poring over books instead of the typical inter action with healing people but then perhaps there was some meaningful aspect related to this

In the bigger scheme of life, there are certain aspects that we do not realize but others are able to clearly see and suggest a pathway

What I perceive respectfully for this person is that having come so far and to start all a new? that too deviate from such a noble profession that might be needing the respected person's service earnestly?

We are reminded at times not to loose our way and not to throw it away; what we might be casting away might be the treasure of our lifetime that we were seeking; perhaps a certain shift and balance in the work environment or other related factors – a re aligning process could help but aspects in a better perspective?

I would confidently say that it is not wise to taken sudden radical steps – to leave everything suddenly and embark on an entirely new field since the medical profession whether direct or indirect service of people is a noble profession

One could be able to silently serve in the background without seeking acclaim – without seeking recognition or the public acknowledgment in the form of prestigious awards and yet in the eyes of Nature be able to be amongst the greatest of achievers – accomplishers

Yes, I say this time and again that life is about

    Learning, Inspiring, Fulfilling, Expectations

However, here it concerns a respected person from the medical community who by all means can most certainly take their decision – at their sole discretion and responsibility since it is their Life and they know what is best

But when a question relates to this and there is an opportunity to express comments (based upon the solicitation of an answer from Deepak – yet this provides the scope for more people to answer) I humbly thought of expressing my point of view which is

That the person continue in their specialized field and become amongst the very most talented in their field possible, ensure that their discoveries – work is able to heal and positively affect millions of people all across the world

But to start even if the goodness and dedication of the work is able to reach even a few people, that is also wonderful and sincerely appreciated

Like it is said, that it all starts with a small achievement and once the person is able to realize that what they had been missing all these years was actually with them, then they would be immensely grateful and recognize their talented gifts they have been equipped with and utilize it for the service of Humanity meaningfully

While respectfully wishing the person well, I would wish to express the following that to have

A Calm Mind and An Awakened Heart; A Mind that is helping the decisions made by the Awakened Heart

Yet again respectfully I would wish to further say that certain decisions made emotionally might prove to affect the decisions made by the calm mind after a intense period of contemplative and reflective thinking

There needs to be balance identified where it is a meaningful equilibrium, where the calm mind and the awakened heart are able to play their respective roles in a synergistic alignment that the respected person feels are good for themselves; their family; their community; their country and for the world

Everything that we do affects others in one way or another; we are all interconnected and what we do for others comes back to us in one way or another – in one form or another

So what are we serving? what are we expecting from life? Life has already done its duty, it has equipped us with the very most wonderful abilities; the air we breathe; the nutrition that we are able to receive through proteins and carbohydrates; the wonderful intellectual faculties whereby we are able to discern and make and take the appropriate decisions meaningfully

What more can be done is

    Dear friend,

I am a newcomer to this site and right now I am just exploring looking for what is going on,reading the other forumers’ concepts and ideas .This is my first timeI take the courage to participate.I am not a very significant person as other people around here with titles and resumes.I am just a humble English teacher who has been teaching English for 35 years in my country Greece.I consider my self lucky to have been taught about some of the greatest philosophers like Socrates ,Plato,Aristotle,Heracleitos,Tragic poets etc.If one could understand better all these about awareness and spiritualism to my opinion it must be you.It is your own option to what decision you may reach but I think you can combine both. The fact that you will work as a professor does not prohibit you to take your time to learn and practice all these teqniques to improve yourself. As a teacher I never stuck on the theory.I always worked on examples and practice for my young pupils to learn. Now I am giving you just a simple example and let you think about it.I am 61 now, I have been a businesswoman, teaching, managing etc,at the same time a caring mother wife and housewife…..and I have always had the time to practice yoga(since 1980) Tai Chi,Reiki, reflexology and much more. What I want to point out is if someone wants he can find the time for everything.Just some food for thought
