This looks interesting. I like the idea of a life force diet, rather than a weight loss diet! I've also been hearing a bit about phytonutrients, so it will be good to learn more.
The irony is that when you balance the body and its life force, weight loss (if needed) comes naturally.
I'll be sharing lots of information about phytonutrients and enzymes over the next 4 weeks, so be sure to join us.
My intent is to eat healthy food, increase my energy, immune system, become more positive and hopefully lose a little weight.
My intent is to continue to eat healthy food, but also to increase my energy and flexibility to be able to be more active. At 82, I am on medication for high blood pressure and high cholesterol and would like to be able to eliminate some of the medications through learning more about phytonutrients.
I need to loose weight. I have tried numerous weight loss programs and only gain weight. I am dealing with some medical issues too.
Hi Michelle,
Thank you for emphasizing the 'balance' part. So many so-called 'diets' stress calorie restriction and weight loss, and not balance. To me, balance means eating healthy to bring about a healthy ratio of fat to lean muscle, lots of energy, and mental and emotional clarity. One can bring balance to their body and not change their weight, yet their physical appearance, energy levels and mood improves so much!
I look forward to your series!!
You're absolutely right. I'm not a fan of weight loss at the expense of muscle tone and overall health. I think balance is underrated in our society and it is crucial that we attempt to regain balance in our lives, including in our diet. Thanks for your astute comments, Phillip.
My intent is to start taking care of myself so that I can be a happy, productive, and active citizen of Earth. The first step is to stop putting garbage into my body; to nurture the world I have to nurture myself. The zipper on this fat suit has been stuck for years, but now I'm ready to step out of it and jump and dance and sing!
I want to loose some weight and this sounds like something I would like to try.
M Fitgerald,
I love your vibrant comments and your excellent analogy. I support you in your healthy goals!
Cheers,
Michelle

People who want to have weight loss usually have a question
A lot of this makes sense but part of restoring balance is movement, continual. Hard to do during the work day. One way of overcoming this for me is I installed a treadmill desk. It allows me to do what my body needs naturally, walk. It is working wonders, so add a treadmill desk into the mix of ideas here please.

Another great article on changing diet in-order to improve your overall health. Detoxing is another word that describes some of the methods of cleansing in-order to give yourself a kick start onto a healthier and more positive YOU!
