It’s said that when you first arrive in heaven, all the dogs who have ever been a part of your life are there to greet you. Whether there’s a heaven or not and whether that statement is true or not, it still plays to the sentiment that dogs and unconditional love go hand in hand…that for those of us who have been lucky enough to have doggies in our lives, the bond is as good as it gets.

Thank you for this article…I too am an AVID lover of all my dogs and can only hope to meet them in heaven one day. I'm checking into Dogtown right away!
I entered a story into competition just yesterday on this exact issue. The name of my story is Dog Patch. .."Dog Town"
Without even the mills in the mix there are way too many dogs bought and owned by people whose lives are just too busy to actually care for them.
But why should that surprise or dissapoint us, after all, children are also treated the same or worse. My story also take care of that atrocity.
Good blog, Thanks Carrie
Aww thats such a sweet story! I love dogs and their ability to love you no matter what. I had a doggie when I was growing up named Snoopy and he was the best. Unfortunately since he died I haven't been able to get another but hopefully soon.
