Metaphysical Meditation

Question:

I wanted to ask you a question about metaphysical meditation. I think that is what it is but am not sure.
Since I was a child I have on occasion meditated on the physical universe and all existence within it. Visualizing it’s vastness in my mind. I then try to bring my focus to the outside of that universe, to the outside of that physical space. What was there before the universe? And what space is that space since it cannot be the physical universe. If it was not here there still must be something or is it just nothingness? Unbeing…is that possible?
Thinking about that visualization and focusing on that meditation brings on a very overwhelming feeling which is indescribable. I think it is fear or anxiousness. I am not sure. I even physically feel it right in my solar plexus and the tingling sensation has been so strong that I have to stop the meditation at times.

However on 2 occasions the mediation ended in an overwhelming feeling of happiness or satisfaction I am not sure again. The first time this happened was when I was about 8 or 9 years old and it was the first time I thought about it. I wondered what would there be if none of us were here including the universe. What would be left and the meditation left me with an actual high. Since then it has happened one other time.

Could you please shed some light on what is going on? What is it that I am trying to conceptualize and why does it give me such a strange feeling? I am a Buddhist in philosophy but am not familiar with all of the various dogma from the lines of teaching. I simply try and follow the simple tenets and mostly the teachings of the Dalai Lama and a few other Buddhist teachers such as Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Answer:

When we visualize we are conditioned to see in terms of three dimensional space. So if your experience of the  unlimited nature of the universe is confined to your imagination, then it is hard to fathom. If instead you allow your consciousness to settle down and experience itself as that cosmic intelligence, then you can know it by being it.
Love,

Deepak

Sometimes it helps to use the phrase "sense/feel" instead of "visualize." Visualization usually takes place in the head. When we sense/feel, we are more likely to have awareness in our body, our whole system, which gives us greater potential to shift from the body experiencing itself to the Unlimited It experiencing Itself.

Gently, holding your hand in a three-dimensional space, walking in step with you, am I connected to your inner space? On a sea voyage as the ship pitches port to starboard in a three-dimensional space was it at the moment the vessel was upright and center or accending in the point of the roll? A measurement of the portols to a cosmic travel always ,in all dimensions, requires a physics, a understanding of the vibrations in your current space in time to enter, too learn and return to share. With question number one, have you ever said aloud anothers inner-thoughts, in their company, and they tell you so? Yes. With regard to question number two, its is in the center-balance that the portols are found in our dimension that provide access to the fearless journey into and out of, with safe returns. But firstly, one must "Hush the Winds & Calm the Seas". As a physics observation to this parable and paradox, the storm at sea was "alive" and active on the ship carrying the Apostle's, yet they did not see or feel such a storm as the crew still addressed. For the Chant spoken in the words of there location was transcribed into, "Hush the Winds and Calm the Seas" and as a vibration key spoken, and in the physics of this thought, was used in proper strength in their walk hand in hand of this dimension to another dimension as it open a portol to "calm seas and fair winds" for their witness is pledged in the testaments of their continued journey. It can be scary to realise that nothingness can gobble one up. It can be exhilarating to realise that all the power of Creation is at our disposal to 'speak' form INTO that nothingness.

Yet we just dribble and think that the standard by which we should describe our potential.

"Does the clay ask of the potter, why hast thou made me so?"

Let us daily increase in: wisdom, love, gratitude, reverence, healing, peace, joy, happiness, laughter and prosperity.

    Blessings X 10,

to be not forged when finished as a trophy on one mantel. A clay-pot so completed from your vision by hand & soul must then invite small amounts of ceder, sage & sweetgrass to the pot, thus set to flame giving the claymaker access too enter the interweaving of the healers on a meditiative passage. They are seeking your wisdom and wish to share theirs..I remain,
