Mirror of Relationships

Dear Friends,

Greetings

Mirror of Relationships

We all are seeking to become whole or complete directly or indirectly. Since we are always in relationships, all the relationships that we attract in our life provides us that opportunity to reclaim our wholeness. Since we are the infinite expressions of the universal consciousness, we can see our reflections in each others. When we can see this connection in our daily lives, all of our relationships becomes meaningful.

To look at our body, we can use the physical mirror. But to know our inner selves there is no such mirror and that is where our relationships provides reflections of who we are. We are all mirrors of each others and we can learn to see ourselves in the reflection of other people. Everyone we attract into our life is a mirror for us in certain ways. All of our relationships — our spouse, family members, children’s, friends, co-workers, neighbors etc… reflect certain parts of us.

In our relationships we are attracted to some of them and repelled by some of them. When we findout the qualities that we are attracted to or repelled, we can discover who we are. We are attracted to people who reflect the same traits that we want to manifest and we are repelled by people who reflect back to us traits that we deny in our selves. For example, we may be attracted by the light qualities like beauty, grace, intelligence etc… we may be repelled by the dark qualities like greedy, jealous, coward, betrayal etc… By becoming conscious of these qualities that attracts us or repels us, we can discover who we are.

By denying some qualities within ourselves and embracing only certain qualities we live only half life. Life is experienced by duality or co-existence of opposites. We cannot know one without the other. When we embrace all the qualities (both that attracts us and that repels) that exists within us, we can reclaim our wholeness.

Our emotions gives us a clue as to what qualities attracts us and what qualities repels us. By listening to our emotions we can recognize/embrace both our light and dark qualities. When we embrace our light and dark qualities – we stop judging people, we stop seeing people as good or bad, right or wrong. By embracing both light and dark sides within ourselves we can heal ourselves and heal our relationships.
