Is Moving for Her Stand-up Comic Career a Good Thing?

I am moving to California soon, so can you give me any advice on how I can be most successful out there? Successful to me equals happy and hopefully with as much money as I need. I’m a stand-up comic and I wanna know if pursuing comedy out there will be beneficial to me or not. – Mel

caHere is what I get for you personally (although some of what I write here is applicable to many reading this – you know who you are).  I am feeling very, very good about taking what is for you a very big leap. Let me explain that. A part of you is always giving Mel bad attitude about what Mel is capable of and what Mel’s prospects are. I sense that the lead up to this move caused a fair amount of arguments and fear flair ups in your inner self.

The arguments come because another part of you knows that you are very talented, and, what is more as talented as anyone you have ever seen. But, then there are all those inner Mels who want to argue that it can’t happen for you, it takes getting the big breaks and so on and so on. Can you see what I am getting at?

My main point is you pursuing your dreams despite  all this inner angst is a very good step for you. The next problem is to get the not very confident and not very trusting parts OUT OF YOUR WAY. Did you see Office Space? I want you to be like Peter — who had to get  hypnotized in order to do what he wanted.  If I could just get you to move in the direction of your dreams without all that inner conflict and self doubt.

I know, easier said than done. However, if you do not do it, you will continue to be in your own way – no matter where you move.  Does this help? Let me know,
MR

    Good Answer Sister Margaret,

To put it another way. If things don't go our way, will we starve? Will we be forced to leave the city? The country? Is there more to lose or gain by trying?

Let us daily increase in: wisdom, love, gratitude, reverence, healing, peace, joy, happiness, laughter and prosperity.

    Blessings X 10,

    Ed
