since you are such a truely inclined person towards eastern knowledge and art may I suggest you to grab a concide version of Ramayana/Mahabharta and also discovery of India by Pd. Jawharlal Nehru first PM of India .
If Ramayana is all about triumph of good over evil and dharma/maryada purshottam Rama winning all battles against the knowledgable and powerful yet demonic Ravana the mayavi(posessing scietifc and maigcal demonic powers) .
Then Mahabharta is all about principles of life and how to take decisions during a war, Bhagvat Gita is a offshoot of Lord Krishna giving sermons during Mahabharta war.
1. The Seven Spiritual Laws – Dr. C.
2. Where Are You Going – Swami Muktananda
3. In The Arms of The Beloved – Rumi
4. Awareness- Anthony De Mello
5. The Little Prince – Antoine De Saint – Exupery

I am still waiting on Power of silence.
Thanks,
Sree.
