since you are such a truely inclined person towards eastern knowledge and art may I suggest you to grab a concide version of Ramayana/Mahabharta and also discovery of India by Pd. Jawharlal Nehru first PM of India .

If Ramayana is all about triumph of good over evil and dharma/maryada purshottam Rama winning all battles against the knowledgable and powerful yet demonic Ravana the mayavi(posessing scietifc and maigcal demonic powers) .

Then Mahabharta is all about principles of life and how to take decisions during a war, Bhagvat Gita is a offshoot of Lord Krishna giving sermons during Mahabharta war.

Thank you for sharing. I bought 1), 2) and 4). Most surprising was Yoga Vashista. I have been brought up with Indian culture but with a mythological blind belief. After 4 years of meditation and listening to Deepak and you, put the content of book in the right context. Now I read that book, its timeless. So much of true knowledge in the book. I am still waiting on Power of silence.

    Thanks,

    Sree.
