My audience with God

As sleep enveloped me, I slipped into the dream and had an audience with God.

 

“Why can’t I see you? I want to talk to you, and express my deep love and gratitude towards you…” I said.

I am here, I have always been here; this is true, came the reply.

 

I asked, “Why can I hear music everywhere, its notes carried on the breeze? Nature seems to sing to me from the swishing grass to the tall grove trees”.

 

            It is I who serenades you, so that you may never feel you are alone.

 

Why is my heart filled with joy, bursting with love for the world, no matter the circumstance?

 

            My love for you fills your heart & is too great to be displaced by sorrow.

 

Why does Mother Nature hold me in such rapturous awe? The moody moon evokes my tears, the glowing sunset warms my heart, the majesty of mountains captures my imagination… my eyes behold miracles where they gaze!”

 

I am those miracles, showing myself to you, so that you will know that I am real.

 

Why can I feel you, but never can I see you? My search draws beauteous miracles but never a holy vision of your face. Where are you, God?

 

            I am everywhere, I am here and there, I am, as you are.

 

Why do I feel so happy to be alive, so appreciative of every breath, every heartbeat, in every fibre of my being, simply happy? I live in bliss!

 

            I gave you life, it is a gift to be cherished and enjoyed; bliss is your natural state.

 

Why did you give me life, for which I am eternally grateful?

 

            I created you so that I may know that I am real, I gave you senses so that you too may know that I am real, we are bound together in a glorious celestial dance!

 

Then you reside within me…

 

It is all love!

 

 

And so I awoke from the dream that was real, to a life that is illusion, but for the beauty, the miracles and all the world’s love – go in bliss, I say, we are One.

    Dear Toni:

    I loved your blog, thank you for sharing your beautiful dream. Several weeks ago I dreamed that I danced with God and I blogged about it here too. I continue to feel the power of that dream.
