Hello everyone,
This week using Alex Blackwell’s blog 9 Green Date Ideas, I planned a nice green date for my boyfriend using 3 of his tips:
- Exchance cards or notes made of recycled paper
- Go to a zoo
- Have a green picnic
- Walk instead of taking the car
One thing to keep in mind before going to a zoo – Alex advises that Not all Zoos are animal friendly. Visit Zoos that allow animals to roam in their natural habitats, like the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
He had great other tips like planting a tree, snuggling up under a blanket and turning off the heat and more.

Gracias Sister Valorie Darling ~ I enjoyed watching your little Green Video this morning. I live in Sacramento, here it is early June and it rained
last night a bit, so it gave the local area a needed rinse. I am an aged 57-Earth years and have advanced in some areas yet not enough in
others. I am an evolving humane being, a humane rights activist and creative writer, plus, I work at a Counselor-Caseworker at a homeless
shelter here in Sacramento where I learn a lot about human nature, the impact of these harsh economic times and generally get a bigger
picture of what is going on in the real world than most.
One area that needs improvement for me is my being 'green conscious' and I thought you video had simple yet important tips for all of us.
I will definitely see about having a 'green day', going to William Land Park, having a picnic and going to the zoo!

I believe this will help in my spiritual growth, my life balance and just make my spirit feel better. So many times us social activists get so
caught up in worldly events, such as now in the North Korean cases of Laura Ling and Euna Lee, that we forget to take time for our own
sense of connection with Mother Earth.
